I recently changed my battery (October). The engine stalled at stops every time. We increased the idle. It was fine. Took it in for inspection a(December) and the computer says "waiting for response". The guy told us we needed to reset the computer ($100). We took the negative cable off over night and restarted the truck in the am. It was fine. We took the idel back to where it was supposed to be and drove it to work. It stalled at each and every stop. HELP!!!!! Any help is much appreciated!
remove the cable again. Then when you start it allow it to idle for 20 mins in park.

Hello! I have Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 1999. I need to change automatic transmission fluid, and mixed up - one tells me to put Mobil ATF-220, another advises to put Mitsubishi ATF SP 3, the third offered Castrol (do not remember the product code). Your advice on this is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Ok, Mobil atf is more of a universal fluid, where Mitsubishi atf would be specifically formulated to be used in their products. Personally I would use the Mitsubishi as it is brand specific, but you can use either one with more than likely no problems.

I have the wheel, caliper, caliper bracket, and brake pads off. Now for the rotor. Are any special tools required? Do I have to remove both sets of bolts, or can I leave the inner hub in place? Do I have to remove the bearings, etc.?
Here's an exploded view, you'll need to pop off the grease cap #6 then remove the snap ring #8 to get the hub off to get the rotor off. Hope it is of some help...pictures always are.

My Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 horn is going off in the middle of the night. I beat on the horn pad serveral times until it stops, then in a couple of hours it goes off again and the police show up. Is it the pad located in the air bag that needs to be replaced? Mike
Is the alarm causing the horn to honk? If so, you need to figure out what is causing the alarm to trigger, which could be any number of things.
Or, the panic module could be failing.
It is least likely to be the horn ring unless the only way you can get the horn to stop is by "beating the horn button on the steering wheel".
If it is, then you can replace the parts for the horn button, but you will need to get an assembly manual for the vehicle. Be sure to disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the airbag module. If it goes off, then you risk injury, and, they are not cheap to replace.

White smoke blows from the exhaust, while running and while running idle. Any suggestions?
the weakest link from water entering engine is intake manifold losing its torque. their are four water ports right next to valve ports. two in front two at rear of intake manifold. they warp fairly easy.so check before re installing

P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
Here is a visual aide that will clear up the confusion on where the affected sensor is located.

There will be a bunch of diagrams so pick the appropriate one: 2.4L Engine Firing order: 1-3-4-2 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise 3.0L Engines without DIS Firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise

The dashboard lights are out such that you can't see the dash at night when you turn on the headlights. Replaced bulb, but should have checked fuse first.
just use a digital multimeter and check the resistance across all the fuse s if one of them is ofl then it has an open it that fuse
