Parking brake pedal goes to floor

Hello;
The parking brake cables may be stretched and in need of adjustment. Follow the cables along to a nut. Then you can tighten the adjusters up on both sides until you have the proper tension. Also make certain none of the brackets are bent or broken that the cables ride through.
Thanks;

No power at all after install new battery. Alternator checks ok. What is the problem?

Check all your fuses,and if you don't have any bad fuses then make sure the positive wire to the electrical center and starter are very clean.

Chevy pick-up spare tire hoist won't release

Sugerinimo's idea is good but I good not get it too work.. Well, this can be easier or a bit harder. Mine was harder. You are stuck on the secondary tire lock. There is a process in your manual that involves lowering the tire as far as it goes with the secondary lock, then placing your tire jack under the center of the tire holder and jack it back up until its tight to the frame - this should release the secondary lock. In my case this did not work. Plan B, is grab a 15 mm socket, small extension and ratchet. Lower the tire as far as it goes. Locate the 15mm bolt that attaches the tire hanger to the frame, undo the bolt, the hanger is then swinging from the back, lift up the tire and bracket and it will fall off. be careful the tire is heavy.
Next on the top of the tire you will see a rubber cover the secondary lock slides into. Pull down the boot. You will see two holes along the bottom on the opposite side to the crank. Turn the bottom part of the lock. If you look in the holes you can see where the catch is. Take a slot screw driver and hammer, line up the catch and tap it back in.
The secondary lock is now free.
Remember when reinstalling the bolt on the frame to use some locktite.

My speedo has not been working today all the other

It sounds like the connection to your dash gage may have gone lose do to everyday vibration. If everything was running fine without any check engine or service engine soon, then it's your dash gage. Before your start your truck and the key'sare in the run possition, your gages should move up then down checking it's self. Keep a eye on that. Good luck. easy fix dubble check connection.

Speedometer not working

There are a couple of things to investigate before condemning the speedometer.
1) Does the cruise control still work?
2) Is the check engine light on?

If the cruise control does not work and or the check engine light is on, you can take your vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advanced Auto Parts and they will scan for fault codes at no cost to you.
Write the codes down and reply back to me and we can work on the issue.
Let me know.

My guages are extreme or not working at all,

Hello and welcome. the problem is with the dash cluster. the dash cluster will have to be replaced and reprogrammed. there is a special warranty for these dash clusters. gm will cover the repairs up to 80,000 miles
This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.
Dealers are to replace the instrument panel cluster after the condition has been verified. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.
For verified failures between 70,001 miles (110,001 km) and 80,000 miles (130,000 km) on U.S. vehicles, dealers are to provide the customer with an instrument panel cluster (IPC) only. Any additional costs, including labor to replace the instrument panel cluster, will be the responsibility of the customer. Dealers are responsible for the return of the customer's IPC back to the Electronic Service Center.

At 70 mph, speedometer may read anything between

I have worked at a chevrolet dealer for 12 years and have probably replaced a few hundred of these clusters. the speedometer portion of the cluster always goes out, I have had very few speed sensors go out, and when they do the check engine light will come on and the trans. won't shift, if the new cluster is too expensive they are easy to replace if you just buy it outright, you can also get a wrecking yard cluster your miles just won't match

2003 Suburban speedometer doesn't work. Is there an easy fix to this problem or will I need to take it in to an auto repair shop?

Hello, this problem is due to a failing stepper motor. The stepper motor is the motor behind the gauge that controls the movement of the needle. When a stepper motor begins to go out it will cause the gauge needle to stick, skip around, stay at zero or max out on the gauge. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the stepper motor with a new one. While replacing one motor it is best to go ahead and replace them all as the others will go out in time as well. Your cluster will have one motor for each gauge. Here's a link to a page showing exactly how to replace a GM stepper motor and where to get the correct parts to do the job! Gagues stopped working...

I'm going to assume you checked the fuses, and say that the display panel will have to be replaced. On these the display is all one piece, and when one gage goes out it effects the whole thing. Some of these display panels had in line fuses on the inside circuitry, so you may be able to pull the display and change the fuse. Others were built as a sealed unit and cannot be taken apart.

Gauges not working properly

Hello, Last year General Motors lost a lawsuit about the instrument panels in 2002 to 2005 trucks. The following website contains all the information about this lawsuit settlement.
http://www.speedometersettlement.com/
This impacts the entire gauge cluster in your vehicle.
I have the same year and model as yours and my speedo is never accurate and the tach always read 6000.
The issue is the metal bearings that the gauge meter movements use. The bearings are getting dry which impedes the meter movement.

Fuel is not flowing to engine

Did the engine just quit going down the road? or was it parked and then would not start? Did it have fuel before you replaced the filter? Did you check all the fuses in the fuse box. I think 2 of the fuses is marked ECM, check both Fuel pump relay? swap it with another relay in the fuse box. You should hear the pump come on for 2 seconds when you turn the key on, do you? If not as you are cranking the engine have someone rap on the bottom of the fuel tank with a mallet or block of wood, or hammer and see of the pump will run. If that gets it running, the pump is bad and will need replacement.
