Could be a number of things. If it never starts back, I would check the fuel pressure, sounds to me like it could be a clogged fuel filter, faulty fuel pump relay or faulty fuel pump. If you have enough fuel pressure, check for a faulty coil, ignition module, or map sensor vacuum leaks.

as for the speedometer and the odometer reaplace your speed sensor but for the shifting problems i would replace the transmission fluid and put a quart of lucas stop slip transsmision fluid

That is from neglect & no preventativemaintenance, what so ever.Failure to ever work on the brakesOnly rust holding it onthat has neverbeen removed or anything put on the hub& rotor to prevent a reoccurance of rustSoak it & then hit with a 2x4 to break it loose

looks like a blown head gasket.remove the belt ,open radiator cap. and run engine. look for bubble in coolant. if so head gasket is defect

If the odometer is also off, it could be the speed sensor. If the odometer is correct its probably the speedo head.
