I have 2008 passat and the blaupunky radio cd player powers up no problem showing all the radio stations but there is no volume and I have tried to get it working but I can't, Any Ideas

Try a capacitive discharge, remove both battery terminals and hold them together for thirty seconds, if that fails check your fuses on the back of the radio. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/stephen_3312f315a96e2956

The battery on my 2008 Volkswagen passat keeps

You need to find the source of the drain on the battery. To do this you will need a multimeter set up to read DC current (ammeter from zero to 1amp range). Switch engine off, switch radio off and disconnect the negative lead to the battery terminal. Connect negative lead of ammeter to negative battery lead and the positive lead of the ammeter to the negative battery terminal. With all electrical items switched off the current reading should be very low, no more than just a few milliamps to keep the dashboard clock running etc. If there is an appreciable current flow locate the fuse box and remove and replace each fuse in turn, note any changes in current and note down the fuse(s) that result in the greatest drop when the fuse is removed. Now switch on an interior light (open a door) just to show you how much extra current is drawn from the battery as a result of its coming on. Is this the sort of current being drawn from the battery when the door is closed? Check out that the circuit with the greatest current drain has a legitimate reason for being on (car alarm maybe). If there is no reason for the current draw then find the item left on when it should be off. A classic case is the trunk (boot) light or the glove box light being left on when the lid is closed. These lights are disconnected by contact switches that open (break the electrical circuit)) when when the lid is closed. Checking the trunk light is easy, just climb in and ask a friend to open and close the lid. The car doors too have contact switches by the hinges and these determine when the interior lights come on or off etc. Check all contact switches by pressing them open by hand and registering the current changes with their opening and closing.

What is an electronic relay?

A device used to transmit power to a motor or component, without sending that high power through the switch itself, which would burn out the switch in a short time. The switch is used to energize the relay so the power can be transmitted through the relay to the component.A relay has two sides to it-the power side and the coil side. When the coil side is energized, say by the switch turning on, it causes the power side of the relay to connect the high power source to the wire going to the component or motor. Automakers use several relays throughout the car and its electrical circuits.

Vw 2006 passat trunk won't close

this always happens to my 06 passat when its really cold, im talking 0 or lower. i try not to open the trunk in the winter if i can help it. Its annoying but in the summer i have no problems. I have herd of alot of other people having this problem, VW knows about it and dosnt think its a recall item for somereason, look for your fancy gas door to not open next, i know of 3 people that started having trunk problems and then the fuel door stopped working, not sure if it has anything to do with it or not. but It happend to me and now i have the auto fuel door disconnected from the inside of the trunk.
The trunk issue isnt anything big to worry about it seems intermittent. I found latches and there a little pricey thats why i just deal with it.
