2007 Kia Sportage 2.0 Questions & Answers
Starter does not engage. Only clicks when I turn the key.
The first thing to do is to check the condition of the battery cables/terminals. Make sure they are clean, free from corrosion and are tight. Also check the black earth lead where it connects to the block/bodywork. A poor earth can cause the symptoms you describe.
If that doesn't work, disconnect the positive battery cable (but bear in mind that you may lose the radio code.. do you know your radio code?) and then disconnect, clean the cables on the starter motor.
If that does not do anything - suspect the starter motor solenoid. It can be removed and cleaned (remove the starter motor first). You can 'bridge' the terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver to try and start the car... but be careful.

2007 Kia Sportage Front Wheel Drive 4 cyl, Automatic. Rear window wiper suddenly failed. Power to motor checked and confirmed, but once it is mounted, it quits. New motor mounted, same problem. All
Not sure about your car, but on my Chrysler mini van the same problem happened. The problem was not the motor but the body control module. The unit had 2 relays, but the BCM actualy controls the unit. To replace the BCM was $450. I bypassed the problem by installing an on/off switch inside the car and activated the motor by by passing the BCM at the relay. That was 3 years ago, still works great. Your BCM may be the problem. Check the schematics of the relays and try doing the same.
If you don't have the manuals, your local library has online access to most service manuals that you would have to pay for. Many time you can get access to them through their website if you have a library card. If not, go the library and get full free access to all the major car service manuals for free!

What does it mean when a new head is leaking water
The head is warped and needs to be planed / lapped.
the mechanic should have checked this before it was installed? If you did it yourself and are newer at this it is easily overlooked. take it back off take a straight edge and go from corner to corner do a x corner to corner and from two corners on the right and the same on the left the long way of the head. Use feeler gauges to identify the difference in gap it should be almost flat and not be able to fit more than .006- .008 anything over the head needs to be decked.

2016. Why does it keep blowing headlight lamps?
I've seen some feedback indicating that you need to avoid touching the bulb glass when replacing the lights. That even oil from your skin much less grease from elsewhere can contaminate the new versions of headlights, yielding hot spots that result in greatly decreased life expe ctency for the bulbs. On the other hand, it may be the result of voltage spikes. Determining that requires a technician wire in a voltometer to cheick such.
