What lamps were you having a problem? So there is a lamp on your dash that says tail gate is open? There is usually a switch or sensor for that? Maybe I misunderstood your problem? If the tail gates lamps at the rear are staying on, no matter what you do, I'd have to check wiring diagrams for that lamp control.

From the bottom. Few times have I seen it broke at the latch. Reach up and cut the cable in half( as far as you can away from the latch). Then cut a couple inches of the cable sheathing of at the latch side. expose the cable, then pull the cable to open. If it did break at the latch, then you'll need a long pick(right angle or hook). You'll have to reach up in the latch to grab the arm to release the bonnet.

not sure try looking on a alldata book but when i built engines in ford of dagenham in 1971 they were stamped on the top hole where the starter motor went ,the fixing bolt .

hi bit tricky u need to unclip the cloth from under the seat and roll it up half way till you can see the old cables then take the lever off and attach the new cable its usually the cable nearest the lever that breaks first

Use paper towel or tissue. If not degraded (too old) it will be pink color For Automatic transmission. Brown to almost clear if recent oil change. Dark brown if Standard transmission. But if it's top, most likely Engine oil. Check for drips on the floor too.

Do a cooling system pressure check. Check spark plugs for water. Do an engine compression check. All in the above order.

first do you have the master red fob,?? you will need it to reprogram your other fobs,try this with the red fob attach to key, turn ign on and off 10 times do not start vechile,with in 20 seconds try the black fob, do the same thing, now try to start with blk fob,,

proberbly the reverse light switch which is located on the front or on the bottom of the gearbox above the sub frameif this helps let me knowcheersmike
