Sounds like you don't know too much . Your best bet ,take it to the dealer . Replacing ECU needs to be reprogrammed . Inlet air control unit ???????? Throttle body . Electronic throttle body ! Have checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . It's hard to fix something you don't know about .
cars have 2 things.
engine coolant temp
and HVAC temp
can tell what you are talking.
car is off state?
do you mean the engine stalls.?
try to talk in terms of what system in car is failing
HVAC (heating or cooling of passengers)
engine issues, stalls , misfire, lost power.
transmission issues, wont shift or slips or messes up some of 100 ways. as a/t love to do.?
Put GM P0341 into Google are watch a few films on it on Youtube. It seems to be common. The wiring connector may be your problem. You'll need a multi-function meter to see if that's it. Fluke makes good one for not much money.
Hi Ed , there are a lot of things on modern cars that can cause the problem you describe , from electrical to electronic modules an serial data communications . If you are not familiar with this ,I suggest you type in your search bar or google GM class two serial data transmission , or data bus . The serial data circuits are the means by which the microprocessor-controlled modules in the vehicle communicate with each other and the scan tool. There are 3 different types of protocols on this vehicle:
?€¢
The universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART)
?€¢
Keyword 2000 data line
?€¢
Keyword 82 data line
The scan tool accesses the following module data lines:
?€¢
The engine control module (ECM), Keyword 2000
?€¢
The transmission control module (TCM), Keyword 2000
?€¢
The theft deterrent control module, immobilizer, Keyword 2000
?€¢
The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), UART
?€¢
The electronic brake control module (EBCM), Keyword 82
?€¢
The remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR), Keyword 82
The speed sensitive power steering (SSPS) module, Keyword 82
I have had customers bring there cars after cousin Fred told them to do this or that and they cost them self's a lot more money then if they had brought it to me in the first place ,I have been doing this for thirty years an I have been to many General Motors training classes on this stuff. These vehicles are very complex and you need highly sophisticated tools to work on them. Don't get me wrong ,sometimes it can be something simple . But if you are not a automotive Technician I wouldn't mess with it .Have seen people spend hundreds of dollars just replacing parts and still not fix the problem, then they bring it to me. You should check with the dealer, sometimes there are Technical Service Bulletins and reflash up dates for modules that fix the problem ! I am real tried of people wasting there money thinking they can save them self's a buck, an end up spending more then they needed tool listening to people who don't have a clue !! check your level of trans fluid if low fill then check air hole on top of trans and make sure it is unblocked...if they get blocked it will cause your trans to overflow your fluid causing loss and overheating you fluid causing light to come on...the air hole is usually a rubber or plastic tube sticking up at least 8 inches from the top of the trans
Go to your local parts house and buy a Chilton or Haynes manual for your car. Its worth the $20 to keep from damaging your engine with incorrect installation and it may tell you something that makes the job easier.
Hello: Thank you, my problem is similar problem is with Optra Design, but you change the Oxygen Sensor, MAF Sensor, Fuel Pump and still the fault persists engine revolutions down to almost driving off in full , I turn it off and return to continue driving for a while and fails again
Hi there:The Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor
indicates the camshaft position so the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
can determine which cylinder is misfiring when a misfire is present.
Whenever the PCM receives an intermittent signal from the CMP, then the
CMP Activity Counter will increment. In order to set a DTC, the PCM must
see a minimum number of resync's within a maximum time.Additional details could fin in THIS LINK.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important
and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some
testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
