2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder - My service engine
You first have to find out what the OBD II codes are by using a OBD II hand held machine that goes through the codes and lets you know what is coming up. There are like over 20 or more things why the engine light came on so please use the OBD II code sensor hand held device which will tell you off the bat the answer to why the engine light came on. You can go to advance auto parts and have them check that out for you at no cost.
Passenger window does not work.
If it is ONLY the passenger window and not the Drivers' window ... it is probably not a fuse (both windows are usually on the same fuse). If it is both windows, locate your fuse panel under the hood of your car (there is sometimes a secondary fuse panel under the dash or in the trunk of some cars). Open the fuse panel, and you should see a map of the fuses on the cover (usually on the inside of the cover, though sometimes it is printed right on the top). If you can find a fuse on the map labeled "Interior electtronics", "PW / PDL" or "Power Windows" or something similar check to see if it is burned out. If it is bad, you should be able to replace it with a fuse of the same type (20Amp for 20Amp, etc.) and your problem is solved. If it is not burned out the consider the following:
With power windows, there is usually a button on both the drivers' door and the passengers' door to open and close the window. If neither of these are working, you likely have an issue with the motor or wiring for the window itself. Replacing these parts can be very tricky, as there is usually not a lot of space in which to work inside the door panel. If you are not used to doing all of your own repairs, I recommend taking it to a professional mechanic and having them fix it for you (they will be able to get the work done without messing up the interior of your car.
If one of the window buttons IS working, and the other is not ... it is probably the switch itself that is bad and should be replaced. This problem poses a little less of a hassle to fix, and if you would like to do the work yourself, I recommend getting a Haynes manual to help you along the way.
I have a 2008 Eclipse Spyder and the fuse diagram
Hi.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood, the other is the dashboard one. Check fuses nr.16 (15 Amps) in the in-car dashboard panel and fuse nr.23 ( a 15 Amps fuse) in the under-hood relay box.
This are the numbers for 2006 model, it should be the same in a 2008 Eclipse. Have a look.
Ginko.
