Please check the information that came along with the owner's manual. It should be printed on a card that comes with those booklets. I assume you've already done that though. If the radio is disconnected from the power supply it is not ready for operation when reconnected. After switching on the ignition and the radio the word "CODE" appears on the display and the letter "C" flashes. Confirming the code number: Press seek-UP/seek-DOWN or SCAN button. The radio switches on automatically and displays the station or frequency stored for station button 1. If the wrong code number has been entered and confirmed, the word "CODE" appears on the display again. After the code has been entered three times incorrectly the word "WAIT" appears on the display and the radio is disabled for approx. 10 min . NOTE: The waiting time continues to run only when the radio is switched on. After expiration of the waiting time the word "CODE" appears on the display again and the correct code number can be entered. After 3 more incorrect entries the radio is again disabled for 10 min . After 3 more incorrect entries (a total of 9 incorrect entries) the waiting time is increased to 60 min . After 3 more incorrect entries the radio locks up again for 60 min . one of the door or bonnet or boot switches is not working and its telling you it's not closed. if your interior lights are not on when you close the doors then it will be the boot or bonnet switch playing up. disconnect the wiring to the plug on the switch and you will find the faulty switch when you activate the alarm.

The top mechanism is hydraulic. Why did you move it manually? Be careful, the hydraulic tubing is plastic and you don't want to apply too much pressure trying to close it, you may damage the tubing. What happens when you try to 'power the top up'? Maybe if you have help pulling it while you try the switch.

Get the prop shaft rubber couplings checked iv just bought a new set for my c class as its doing the same thing if they go you will smash the transmition or at least ruin the propshaft mines on its ladt legs

In the fuse box under the hood, fuses 3, 6, 7, 10, and 12 are all directly related to the sound system. In the trunk, fuses 3, 6, and 7 are also directly related to the sound system. Please check all the fuse. And also unplug the CD changer's power and fiber cable and then recheck the radio.

What about the ignition coils and spark leads?

IF you've checked voltage and found no power going the wiper system, then I would back trace the power line. Logic would dictate that if the fuses were good, and you have no power to the wiper system then there is either a relay in line that's bad or you have a broken wire in the circuit.

most Mercedes cars mechanics are pretty bullet proof but as in all cars you do get bad ones no car is totally reliable the only problem Mercedes had was the rust problem which they have now solved but now as all cars they have filled them up with electronic gismos so there is something else to go wrong

My first guess is a dead batter. Be REAL careful in getting the cables correct if you jump it off.

Battery Disconnect or Replacement Problems

Its in your car setting go in your manuel or true your car computer

depending on the amount/location of damage to the vehicle you could have damaged the wiring harness leading to blown fuses, or damaged important sensors/relays that, if damaged, wont allow the vehicle to start. or you could have tripped the rollover switch which cuts the power to the engine in the event of a rollover to help prevent fires. but can be set off if damaged or hit hard enough. Start checking fuses and wiring on the damaged part of the vehicle. I hope this info helps.
