Calibration

I think your printer is set to print on Continuos media. If you use gap labels, you will need to set the printer from the menu on NOT CONTINUOS, then save the setting. In some cases the software or driver is the one who controls this setting. So you will need to change directly in the printer driver. You will find this option on the General tab (click Properties then) and Advanced tab (click on Printing Defaults). There you will have a list with printing parameters like speed, darkness, media type. Adjust as you need to fulfill your request. But first change directly to the printer, accessing the menu from control panel. Also verify if there is no label sticked on the media gap sensor.

Z4Mplus test page

Do you want to print out settings? Do you want to print a printhead check? Make sure supplies are loaded and the printer is ready to print. Turn off the printer, press X button, turn on the printer while pressing de X button and release the button after aprox 5 seconds from power on. This will print out the configuration page. Do the same but with the Pause button, and you will get a printhead quality test. Note that the test with Pause button it will stop automaticly only after some 10 printed labels . You will need to restart the printer after that, or press the cancel button several times.

Zebra Z4 Error message

ribbon in means, you choose direct thermal print method which is printing without a ribbon and yet you print with thermal transfer print method.

just check on lcd panel , change the print method to thermal transfer. and make sure the setting on your driver is thermal transfer too, or else it will keep reverting back to direct thermal
