You may have problem with your Printhead cable or Logic, I'd start by re-seating the cable on both ends. If that does not work I'd replace the PH as it will wear out eventually anyway if it is not the problem you can keep it as a spare. The ZM600 will take both a 203 and 300 dpi Printhead make sure you get the same one you installed currently. 203 dpi MRP provides IT Parts Product Supplies and Services 300 dpi MRP provides IT Parts Product Supplies and Services

You would need to replace the Printhead, Platen pulley and Platen drive belt. There is a kit you can order. MRP provides IT Parts Product Supplies and Services

Press Setup/exit first option should be Darkness. Press Select then the plus key. Press setup/exit twice to exit and save.

you can change the backfeed option under the driver settings, I would also turn you print speed up too (on same tab) it sounds to be set on 2.5ips, crank it up to 7ips or higher

Sounds like the main board needs replacing. Google '77904m PWB" and you will get a place to buy the part. However you mentioned the IP the Z4m does not have an Ethernet option so make sure that it isn't a Z4m+.

Hi, you can have 3 scenarios here, the print head is faulty, mainboard faulty or darkness set to low, please reset printer to factory default without any lpt/com/usb/network cables connected, turn off and on. try to run Pause test ( turn on printer with pause button pressed for 5 sec and release it)

There may not be enough printer memory to do the job. Either wait a while when printing so the memory can clear and reload or add memory to the printer.

The firmware download utility program comes on the CD supplied with the printer. Use this to download the firmware file to the printer. Check on the zebra website for the latest firmware file. (You should be able to download the Download utility program from the website also. (Steady red may indicate that the printer is set to the incorrect operating mode. Check that you have the correct setting in your printer driver - Thermal Transfer if you use a ribbon, Direct Thermal if not) Easiest way to check is to insert a ribbon and see if printer works)

I would venture a guess that the sensor that detects the labels isn't working well - it's supposed to see the difference between label and backing paper and stop at the correct position.

There must be a piece of debris in there. Pull out the roll and examine closely with flashlight and magnifier. And try blowing it out with canned air.

check the pressure of the printhead.increase the pressure of the printhead. its a ribbon friction line.

The thermal system also uses a ribbon with wax transfer. Check that it is not twisted or run out Bruno

Print head needs cleaning.

Clean the print head. If half has got gummy from labels, it will not be able to print. You will need to use a solvent for the gummy adhesive... possibly Toluol... HOWEVER be very careful to keep that off ANY plastic parts.

Sounds like a miss-match on the labels you are loading and the labels it is set up for. You'll have to go into the printer properties and check (and adjust as needed) the label stock selected to make sure they match. Next check the setting on the printer its self for the same for label stock selected. Most likely you're trying to use a label stock different then it was using before.
