Why doesn't it scan?
usually you need to configure the reader to tell it what kind of barcodes you want it to read and how to interpret & output the codes to your computer (whether you need prefix or suffixes to your codes( for automation))
the user manual for the reader has some bar codes to configure the settings for the scanner.

Couldn't get PM power status MC9090
Mc9090 does not have a battery door?!
You should try a reflash by SD card or Activesync, you will need access to support.symbol.com and possibly a service contract to access the firmware.

MC9190 will not scan a certain barcode, but the MC9090 will, what could be the problem?
Hi,Firstly you need to know exactly what 'symbology' or type of barcode you are trying to scan. E.G. 128CODE, ect.Once you know this make sure 'DataWedge' is installed and go to the settings section of the software.ensure that the type of barcode you are printing is selected in the settings. After this is should work.regardsDave (Pen Mobile) Germain
