My 2006 Yamaha 4stroke 50 hp outboard motor prop no longer turns … is there a shear pin or is it some kind of rubber clutch gone?

It should have a rubber hub pressed into the prop. It can go bad and is in place of a shear pin. The rubber hub should allow the prop to turn at idle speed but will slip at higher speeds. You can get a new hub pressed into the old prop.

Either fuse, switch or pump itself. See your friendly mechanic

2002 yamaha xlt 1200 has trouble starting after running for a while. Acts as it is loading up really bad. Thanks in advance.

If water pump is good and cooling engine, I would look into the fuel pump.

Power trim just quit, I checked the fueses they are good. will not go up or down. can here clicking noise when I hit switch. 50 hp 4 stroke Yamaha low hour motor

Might be simple. Did you leave the Nav lights on and run the battery down? The clicking means it wants to go but may not have any power.

I have the serial number of my yamaha outboard engine (F150) and i want to know the year of manufacture. the s.n. is 1088064

I think the model number can help you more for finding the year of manufacture. I couldn't find anything on the serial number. Also, if you contact a Yamaha outboard dealer, they can help you.

Serial no. 353217, 40 HP, 6H400, yamaha outboard motor what year is it?

Yamaha Year Models This Yamaha outboard year model chart will only work for Asia Pacific distributed engines. If you have a Yamaha engine that has been bought in from America or Europe direct the parts will still be the same but your model and year model code will be different. You will have to use your own knowledge of your engine to select the appropriate year. For Asia Pacific engines your year model code is found on the bottom right hand corner of your serial number decal. It will be a single letter as per the diagram below which can then be matched to the chart. Note: The letters will repeat in the below chart so use your judgement as to the correct year, ie: the engine in the picture is a 2003 model and not a 1982 model. 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 Z Y X W V U T S R 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 P L K J H G F D C 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 A Z Y X W V U T S R 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Q P N K J H G F D C 2013 2014 B A

What degree do you need to time a 485 yamaha engine two cycle. Want to make it turn

I have always had great results with my Yamaha and Kawasaki 2-stroke motors by setting the timing at 32' advanced. The motor will be easy to start and run much better coming out of the hole ( bottom end ). They set them up from the factory so they run rich and protect your motor. But if you want it to run like it is capable of running, you gotta bump the timing. "UPDATE">>>Im sorry i thought i was responding to ignition timing not the trim motor.
