Lefty, the code means a rotor position sensor error. The first thing you want to do is see if the basket turns freely by hand. I had one the other day where a dish towell was caught between the basket and tub giving the error. You will have to open the top by using a putty knife and pushing in on the clips on each side. They are strong clips so you have to use some force. The whole top will lift up. Next you will have to remove the tub ring. It just snaps off. If you don't find anything between them, then I would suspect the rotor sensor itself. At the factory they sprayed a protective coating on them and sometimes this causes the problem. You would have to tip the washer back. The motor cover comes off witha allen head, just pulls down. Now there is 4 screws that hold the motor in place. Once you drop them, the plastic cover protector will come down along with the motor so observe carefully where it mounts back up. The motor connector will be the 3 pronged harness on the right side of the motor. The rotor position sensor will be on the left. Snap the positon sensor in and out about 8 or 9 times to get the coating off. If this doesn't work, and you keep getting the error, you will have to order the position sensor. I have had to order the harness as well in some cases. Catriver.
Search for the end of cycle signal button then on your dryer This button is located right on the right side of the Duet model dryers.
Push and then hold the button down for about 3 seconds.
The Control Lock LED should shut off then letting you know that your dryer is not locked anymore. Or it could be the child lock feature was turned on and needs to be turned off.
It is probably a power supply issue.
I would replace the main smoothing and secondary smoothing capacitors on the main board.
The voltages go lower than they should be and it confuses the board.
If your washing machine will not fill, only hot or cold will fill or is slow to fill then read these tips. I have covered many of the things that can happen in these tips...
read the manual yet, why not?
most things like this need a new filter
and need fully cleaned.
or condensate pan is too full of water.
all this is in the manual if you read it.
and keep it on hand as manual like to go byebye old on the www

see page 10 drain hose ALL WRONG
got the optional PUMP< we can't see it./
it says clear as day E1 E2 is call for service
why not do as it tells.
The pump might need to either be replaced in your washing machine or the pump could be clogged. To check the pump you will have to first disconnect the drain line and then remove the back panel on your washing machine and use a flashlight.
You need a service call. This is a fault with the Start Capacitor Motor Control Board, or the main control board. These machines have a computer controlled variable speed motor. Everything should be silent when it is switched off, so this leads me to believe it is a board issue.
For some of the Whirlpool washing machines to turn off the the signals press and hold the signal cycle for about a few seconds to turn it off and for other models touch and then hold the steam clean option for about 3 seconds to turn off the tone.
Your washing machine might not be evenly balanced so it is shaking very roughly when the spin cycle is running.Redistributing the load will most of the time fix this problem here if it is caused by having too many clothes on one side of your washing machine.
a magnet won't work unless you necklace was made of steel and that is very unlikely. Magnets only work on Ferrous metals, so gold, silver, brass, copper or any plated items won't stick.
The necklace in there somewhere. Under the base is the pump and that is connected to a flexible pipe from the base of the drum. Pull the machine out and look at the rear. The pump is easily accessible, plus they have a filter. Videos in the link. The better search query would be 'make model remove pump'.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
