May be that the laser assy is dirty...you can try one of those cleaner discs...although I recommend you have it professionally cleaned...have not had much luck with cleaner discs...if that does not solve the problem..then the laser itself may have gone bad...they have a lifespan and only will last so long

Hello,
When you have your DVD player loading disc but saying no disc, it simply means, there is a problem with the player.
The problem is a minor one, and it is related with the lens of the player. It is either weak or dirty, therefore it does not have the strength to play a disc.
The solution to that is either for you to clean it with a lens cleaner or open it up and clean it using a cotton bud. But if that does not solve the problem, you will have to replace the lens with a new one, and to do that, you will have to unscrew the dvd player open, then unscrew the disc tray, then you will have direct access to the lens, disconnect it from the ribbon that supports it, then fix in a new lens in it and reverse the process to reassemble the player together.
After doing that, your player would be in good condition once again.
Take care and good luck

Hi.
If the unit stays stuck in startup with the hello message, that means that there is either a software problem, or that there is a disk inside the unit.
Try first simply disconnecting the DVD player power cord for a couple of minutes. After connecting back, try pushing repeatedly the eject button while you start up the player. If there is a stuck DVD it will come out.
The operation is described here:

Check you video cable if it is well connected if it is then interchange the cables using the one for the audio for the video and other one for the video to connect the audio . If there is no sound then the video cable is bad and need changing but if it produces sound then you will need to visit a local repair man
