I have water leaking into my basement of my house and its not raining.
I had a water leak in my basement and didn't know where it was coming from. I called the city and they told me to call a leak detection guy and they gave me Tony Schrantz's number. He came out and was able to tell me my water to my service was leak underground. He was able to pinpoint the leak so the contractor knew where to dig to fix the leak. reasonable rates. Just call Water Conservation Services out of Lino Lakes MN. This guy came out right away and had no extra charge for doing so.t away

No water comes out of hot water faucet
Most likely water heater. If it's electric heater, check circuit breaker in breaker box.If it's gas, check if pilot light is lit.If it's a gas, pilotless heater (quartz igniter), check that the igniter works.

My husband turned off the water in the house to do
I have to assume that your husband completed the plumbing job or jobs that required turning off the water in the first place. And, that he turned off the MAIN valve only, which isolates the whole house from your source (city, well, etc). If that is the case, then he just has to open that again, allowing water to come in again. Sounds overly simple, but sometimes the simplest things go unnoticed.
I suppose that the line could also have become clogged or somehow damaged, but that seem unlikely. Good luck!
No water coming out of any faucets, should I leave
Have you checked for a major leak in the line bringing the water to your house or under the house where the line comes in? Or is it a case of the pipes being frozen? Because you did say. If it is frozen pipes leave the faucets turned on half way, because when they thaw, you don't want to much air and water rushing out at one time and going places you don't want it to.
