Hi there, there doesn't seem to be any specific information online for how to take it apart, but I've attached the user manual as a link to reverse the process. It seems you can easily remove the "shoulders" from the "base", all four legs can be detached easily, and the stool has removable legs as well. Hope this helped.

Is this a new problem, has the unit worked in the past? You may need to reset the unit - remove the batteries for a few minutes, then re-insert. You may also try new batteries.

Hi I'm ryan, try resetting it. Remove the battery cover, there should be a pin hole with a reset button in it. my daughters did the same thing and i just reset the system and it works fine.

I got the system for my 4 year old daughter less than 2 weeks ago and it quit on me. It's rediculous! Anyway, at first we used batteries and it worked fine but the batteries went dead after she played it about 3 times so we went and bought the power cord. We plugged it in and it wouldn't work at all. I looked all over the internet trying to find a way to fix it because we also got her $100 worth of games and had already thrown away the box so we couldn't return it. Everyone was talking about a reset button and my system DOES NOT have one! I finally found a SOLUTION[most likely temporary] Take the batteries out. Hold the ON button down for 45 seconds, replace the batteries with FRESH ones and turn it on. Sounds like it won't work right?!? Well it did for me and before the game system would come on for NOTHING. Hopefully this helped! good luck

You probably have a DVD player that does not play Blu Ray and you are trying to play a Blu Ray. Check that first and we will go from there.

Apparently you can disconnect all power supplies (batteries and adapter), then reconnect all power supplies. Press the ON/OFF button. Remove the storybook cartridge, clean it if necessary, then re-insert it into the V.Reader. I've also included the product manual as a link. There doesn't seem to be any real answers online for this, but if you're out of options, I'd contact their customer service team at https://www.vtechkids.ca/en/support/form or call 1-877-352-8697.

Hey there, seems like you've already tried many solutions. May I suggest checking if the SD card has been formatted before its first use (check to see if your SD card is formatted as a FAT16 or FAT32 partition). I have attached a link with further details on doing this. Also make sure your SD card is not in write-protected mode (the Lock switch on your SD card should be in the off position) and try again. As well, make sure you have the most updated software on your device. If nothing else works, I got the below text from the Vtech website. You have to go here, download, put the SD card into the computer, let it do it's thing - then, put the SD card into the VReader, let IT do IT'S thing, LOL, then take the SD card out of the VReader and it's done! Mine was stuck on the calibration screen as well, but this fixes it - you have to do this to set it all up correctly. It's part of the download process.http://www.vtechkids.com/download/

I had the same problem, so I put the SDcard in my camera, formatted it, then put the SDcard back into the reader and I was able to transfer the books.

Go to settings and it should have something about Languages and press that and press english.

If you remove the battery door on the back above where the batteries are inserted there are 2 little buttons with the batteries removed press both buttons at the same time re-insert the batteries and the game should turn on. I am not sure if this is a system re-start but I find that some of out games are pretty beat and maybe they are causing the game to shut down. If it shuts off I preform this task and try a different game and it usually works it is kind of a pain but at least from what I can tell it must be something in the games themselves - maybe they just wear out after hours of play time.

I have experienced the same shutdown problem, and solved it in 10 minutes with the following procedure:1) Clean the cartridge and system components with rubbing alcohol...2) Take out the batteries...3) Hold the on/restart button for anywhere from 10-45 seconds...4) Put batteries back in and put a game in...5) Power it up...
