Do you need a wiring harness for the back of the unit? All you have to do is google "wiring harness for vr3 cd400 and you will have allot of options to choose from. If you connected the red which is 12v +, yellow connects to 12v for radio memory, and black goes to ground. Brown is for external amp turn on. Check to make sure your connections are correct. Do you have an adapter harness that plugs into the factory radio harness? You can get one from Wal-Mart or best buy or online.
