Check all the vacumn hoses first ,its showing a 1985 model on here so is it a carb or mono point fuel injection ?

lots really, scan it yet. no year car told no country told answers will be hard, wrong or generic, all not good really. what does WON"T IDLE mean idles too fast hot or cold idles too slow hot or cold. stalls hot or cold. does engine make full power hot and cold both? ??????? tell the good and bad or answers will be wrong or wild guessing./

My 2007 vehicle IS included, and I just had the check engine light come on and have been experiencing rough shifting for about 6 months. When the light came on yesterday, it was extremely rough jerky shifting. The light went off today. Took it to Autozone and got same code P2716. Toyota has assigned me a case number, but I won't get a call back until Monday or by close of biz on Tuesday. This problem can cause your car to not start, or to shut down while driving. YIKES! The person I talked to at Toyota acted a little too nonchalant about the whole deal. Telling me to just wait for the call that I will get. She said most dealers would not have the part needed to fix this. According to what I have read. It sounds like the vehicle has been in an accident and is not straight. Take it to a body shop with a box of donuts and a tray of coffee and ask if they can have a quick look and tell you if the vehicle has been in an accident. They have laser tools that check 'straightness'. They might also do Laser Wheel alignment, which is the new technology. Once you disconnect the battery, you break the programming for the anti theft system and engine immobilizer, so you compound the problem. You need an auto electrician. the thermostat is located driver's side of the vehicle. Follow the upper radiator hose to its end to a water outlet housing. the thermostat is in the outlet. take off the air flter lid and hose and it is easier to get to. take the hose off and the metal line to the housing. the other part of the housing is holding the thermostat. it is held with two 10 mm bolts. good luck.
