Toshiba 47" flatscreen. Power up
The information provided suggests that there might be an issue with the main board of the electronic device. However, it's important to consider a few factors before deciding to replace the main board:
- Check for Error Codes or Diagnostic Signals: Some devices have error codes or diagnostic signals that can provide more specific information about the issue. Check the device's manual or documentation for any error codes or signals associated with the flashing LED or other symptoms.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Before replacing any components, try performing a hard reset on the device. This involves turning off the power, unplugging the device, and waiting for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on. Sometimes, this can resolve temporary glitches.
- Consult Manufacturer Support: Contact the manufacturer's customer support or refer to the product's support resources. They may be able to provide troubleshooting steps specific to your device and guide you on whether a main board replacement is necessary.
- Professional Inspection: If you are not familiar with electronic repairs, consider consulting a professional technician. They can inspect the device, run diagnostics, and provide a more accurate assessment of the issue.
- Check Warranty: If the device is still under warranty, replacing components yourself may void the warranty. Check the warranty terms and conditions before attempting any repairs.
- Consider Other Factors: The issue might not solely be with the main board. Power supply issues, faulty connectors, or other components could contribute to the problem. A thorough inspection can help identify the root cause.
If, after considering these factors, you still believe that the main board is the likely culprit and you are comfortable with the replacement process, you can proceed with replacing it. However, exercising caution and exploring all available troubleshooting options is advisable before making any decisions.

50HP66 50 in. Plasma Television: i have red dots/shadowing on my tv...
I got the red dots really bad on my toshiba 50hp66 after an hour or two of watching tv. I found out that if you open up the tv in the back on the left you will find two adjustment pots labelled Vsc and Vy. I took a sharpie and marked where the factory defaults were first. Then I adjusted the Vy pot down a little bit and the red spots were gone! My tv looks great again!
Toshiba tv keeps on changing inputs at irreguar
There is a known problem with Toshiba Tvs that options change with out any input of buttons or remote. the tv switch panel needs replacement. This is situated behind where the buttons are on your tv usually bottom right. there is a work round if you dont want the expense of part replacement. you can disconnect these buttons and only use the remote. This requires taking off the back (ensure tv is disconnected from power as there is high voltage in the tv) once the back is removed and tv is laying on its front you will see bottom left where the buttons now are, a couple of cables one will have seveal wires and one will only have a couple of wires take the smaller one off this will disconnect the buttons and stop the problem. once this is done you can only use the remote control to control the tv settings but the power on off button still works.
I hope this was useful.

E010
Description
Paper not reaching fuser transport sensor: Paper which has passed the fuser unit does not reach the fuser transport sensor.
Remedy
Open the jam access cover. Is there any paper on the transport path or in the fuser unit? ? YES ? Remove the paper. NO Is the fuser transport sensor working? (Perform the input check in the test mode: 03-[FAX]OFF/[7]/[C]) ? ? NO ? 1. Check if the connector of the fuser transport sensor is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector CN332 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited. 4. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short circuited or open circuited. 5. Replace the fuser transport sensor. 6. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the transfer belt working? ? ? NO ? 1. Check if the connector of the transport belt is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector on the transport motor driving PC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector CN341 on the LGC board is disconnected. 4. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited. 5. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short circuited or open circuited. 6. Replace the transport motor driving PC board. 7. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the drum separation finger solenoid working? (Perform the output check in the test mode: 03-111,161) ? ? NO ? 1. Check if the connector of the drum separation finger solenoid is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector CN339 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check the installation state of cleaner. 4. Is the relay connector connecting the cleaner unit and the equipment disconnected or stained with toner? 5. Replace the drum separation finger solenoid. 6. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the registration sensor working? (Perform the input check in the test mode: 03-[FAX]ON/[4]/[E]) ? ? NO ? 1. Check if the connector of the registration sensor is disconnected. 2. Check if the registration sensor is installed correctly. 3. Check if the registration actuator is operating properly. 4. Check if the connector CN341 on the LGC board is disconnected. 5. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited. 6. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short circuited or open circuited. 7. Replace the registration sensor. 8. Replace the LGC board. YES Is the registration motor working? (Perform the output check in the test mode: 03-108/158) ? ? NO ? 1. Check if the connector of the registration roller clutch is disconnected. 2. Check if the connector CN341 on the LGC board is disconnected. 3. Check if the connector pins are disconnected and the harnesses are open circuited. 4. Check if the conductor pattern on the LGC board is short circuited or open circuited. 5. Replace the registration roller clutch. 6. Replace the LGC board. YES Check if there is any abnormality in the space between the registration motor and the registration roller (metal). Check if the registration roller (rubber) is rotating smoothly. Check the condition of the registration roller at the horizontal transport section and clean or replace it. * If the error [E010] caused by a paper jam underneath the drum cleaner often occurs due to an insufficient paper separation from the photoconductive drum, set a smaller value in the code 08-841, and see what happens. At this time, however, pay attention to the transferability at the leading edge of the paper since this transferability can be slightly narrowed depending on the environments and conditions under which the equipment is placed or the media type of the paper used. (Refer to 3.6.1 in this manual about the details of the code 08-841.)
