Look at the power cord. Verify that it plugged into the phone and the wall outlet.

Check the low battery message on the display. If the "In Use" and "Phone" indicators do not light up, you may need to charge the batteries. If you purchased new batteries, make sure you install them correctly.

Disconnect the power cord from the base. Remove the batteries from the phone. Wait a few minutes, reinstall the batteries and reconnect the power cord. Look at the display to see if you can read it.Tell the representative that you are having trouble reading your phone's display. The company may repair or replace your phone, depending on your warranty

GE DECT 6.0
Make sure the answering system is ON.
Press and hold the DAY/CHECK button to set the day of the week.
Press and hold the HOUR button to set the hour (a.m. or p.m.).
Press and release the MIN button to advance the clock in one minute intervals. Press and hold to increase by 5-minute increments.
After the time is set, the real time clock will be displayed on the handset within 1 minute.
NOTE: You must set the day manually. You may choose to set the time manually as well, although the time is automatically transmitted by your local phone company as part of Caller ID service. If you subscribe to Caller ID service, the current time is set automatically when you receive your first CID record.
