There is no battery. It is an electronical spark caused by the power supply where oven plugs in. Check to see if there is gas coming from pipe. If so, then the igniter unit needs to be replaced.

switch Is stuck in on position

I got it working! I was messing around with it and I think what did it was just touching and holding the on button for a few seconds!

Such is dangerous. The unit uses 3 phase electricity, something unlikely to be addressed by DIY activity if you want to be safe. Check your warranty. I assume this is not a matter of pans of the wrong material or size being deployed. This well may require a technician to sort out.
