Remove your shoes and socks and wet your feet slightly with a damp cloth if you receive the "ERR3" error. ERR3 is a contact error and your feet should ideally be bare and wet to achieve an accurate body-fat reading.

Step off the scale and wait for it reset. Remove your shoes and socks and wet your feet slightly if you receive either the "ERR4" or "ERR5" errors, which means your body-fat or body measurements are out of range.

Reset the scale if it doesn't work or you continue to receive error messages. Remove the battery and set the scale on a flat surface. Stand still on the scale for five seconds and step off. Re-install the battery and place the scale back on the flat surface. Place one foot on the scale until it displays zeros or dashes. Remove your foot and wait for the scale to turn off. Step back on the scale to weigh yourself

On Amazon this scale got 24% 5 star and 43% 1 star rating. In many cases it quit working or broke in some way. "I owned this model for 1 year before it gave me the "batt" signal. after I spent another $7 on new lithium batteries, it turned out the scale was broken. looking on the web, I discovered lots of other stories like mine. advice: find another brand."

Well I figured it out, just in case anyone comes across this. Turn it over, push the button on the top middle of the scale, hold, turn back over, wait until "C" appears on the screen, stand on scale, now it works. :)

Many Taylor scales use one or two CR2025 or CR2032 batteties. I usually put in the higher current CR2032. These are available online, shopping centers, pharmacies, and even grocery stores. If you Google your part number and manufacture you can download the manuel which will tell you the battery required.

How many stones (kilos, pounds) do you weigh?

P zero to P 9 is just a user number to set it up... Instructions for set up are:

• Turn it on.
• Select user number using up and down buttons (P0 is fine).
• Hit the Set button.
• Choose gender using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button.
• Enter your age using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button.
• Enter your height (goes in 1/2 inch increments) using up and down buttons.
• Hit the Set button. (Info is now saved.)
• When scale changes to 0.0, you can step on, and get your weight.
• It will blink and change weight possibly for a second or two. When it stops, it shows your weight.
• Stay standing still on the scale after your weight, and it will gon to show your bodyfat percentage, then your body water percentage.
• When finished, you can step off, and it will turn off.

Look for the polarity markings and insert accordingly.
