I have a heater problem,
Have any mice been inside the heater? If so check the burner. Some times the mice will nest inside the burner and it will need to be cleaned.

R3 code and e06 what are thes codes
R3 should be a software code on the board.
E06 is Temp Sensor but check the wires and the connections. Also remove and inspect the sensor, it may be damaged.
How do you bypass the thermister
You can NOT bypass the thermister on a Sta-Rite heater. It needs a value to compare with on the control board.
If you happen to have a fixed resistor available you can use one to test the heater. 7.5k ohms should work.

How to clean impeler on sta rite
Not sure you should do this, what are the deposits you are trying to clean off? If they are hard deposits like minerals then medium blasting with a material like ground walnut shells will clean it up.
