How old is the heater? When was the last time it worked correctly? Does the pool reach the set point? If not, how close does it get?How long will the heater run (hours)? What model pump are you using?

Sta rite SR200LP Heater will not fire. Your answer was “bad flame sensor “. Where is the flame sensor or what part is it? Is it the same ignitor?

We have a SR200 NA Sta-Rite heater on our pool. We just replaced the thermistor today. Now the digital temperature readout keeps jumping back & forth between 91 & 104. (water temp. was only ab

That unit has specific instructions for water temp operation at 60 or lower. The display also can show diagnostic info and there are indicator lights for diagnostics. Do you have any of those showing any errors? If the temp is jumping from 91 to 104 instantly and then back down to 91 instantly, this is a wiring issue or a bad thermistor. Check the wiring and use an OHM meter to check the thermistor, it should have a chart that shows a resistance at a certain temp. There is a limit switch right next to the thermistor, Make sure it is not shorting out with that.
