Unplug the TV for a while and hopefully, that should reset the circuity. If you're using the original remote control, check for the display button and press it. I would also suggest doing a factory reset if your TV has that feature and if the TV allows you to do it after unplugging it.

moved you out of computer repair it is not one. first off the remote can be failing !! first try fresh new batteries also if kids spill drinks on the remote the buttions can fail even turn on , not touched. turn TV on , and move the remote to farthest room. see if TV stays on. or turn on TV and remove remote battery fast. ok now, yes/.no// some TV have no on button or is the only one on the TV, I really do not want to read your manual but if there that button on TV> (on/off) remove the remote batteries then turn TV on with its only button, on side of TV cured? super simple tests, to do no? and super effective facts learned and even cures based on results. ok read you manual see googled in 5 seconds and yes center right bezel LCD had Press 1 on the TV to turn on the TV any remote abuses or got wet will fail. easy, take out the batteries, push 1 above.

bad power board look for swollen capacitors

The front and back pieces are like a clam shell and are compression fit with tabs into one another. You need to use something like a guitar pick or spudger to separate the pieces. Dont use metal objects due to damage that will happen to the plastic .

You can try but I don't think that will help, sounds like power supply issues, open the back and look for bulged caps

Sounds like a bad main board, or more specific the EEPROM is bad on the main

Do you get voltage with the main board unhooked?

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. You can unplug it for a while, but probably worn out and cheaper to buy new at walmart.
