It sounds like the battery is faulty. Get it load tested. It may be the controller, but check the battery itself and the connections to it.

Circuit Breaker (Reset Button) Your scooter is fitted with the latest in electronic controls that are programmed to protect the electrical system from abnormal overloads. Provided for extra protection is a circuit breaker, located on the battery pack. Should there be a situation where your scooter stops for no apparent reason, please check that the circuit breaker has not popped. NOTE: To preserve battery charge, your scooter may go into sleep mode after being idle for a few minutes. To remove from sleep mode, turn the scooter switch off and back on again. Check List If your scooter fails to operate, please check the following: • Unit is switched on. • Drive/Freewheel mechanism is in the drive position. • All plugs and connectors are clean and firmly connected. • Battery level shows full charge. The plates in the battery may be sulphated and are preventing a full charge. If you take the battery to an Interstate battery outlet they can test the battery in 2 minutes free of charge. They can also pulse charge the battery overnight to clean the plates.

Check the brushes.

that's part of the serial no, what import is the first part for example modern types CA-AC2-110(A2) means it a 110amp controller used on a Cadiz , some Rascal's . C7-AC2-40 means it a 40 amp controller used on the smaller scooters such as the Wispa .. C5-HFPC-888A .. older type 888 is the model no used by shoprider normally a 70 amp rated controller used on the shoprider sovereign mobility scooters regards

If you bought it brand new and it is less than a year old you might still have some guarantee or a warranty you could use for the repairs.

Check the speed control on the handle bar.

Dead batteries, dead charger, broken wire in the charging system. etc etc etc.
