Your brush is jammed or sticking and the motor spindle is burning through the belt. You need to completely remove the bush and its end bearings, clean and lubricate. Make sure it spins easily before you put the new belt on.

Maybe not the same issue, but my roller brush would only work intermittently. I had to take apart the main housing and clean the two contacts (female side) that connect to the lower brush assembly. Now it works like new.

1. Unplug your mop and let it cool down
2. Empty up your water tank
3. See if the spray tip of your shark steam mop is blocked
4. Insert a paperclip into your mop's spray tip and move it back and forth. This will loosen debris.
5. Pour some white vinegar onto the mop head. Then rub it with a duster or rag. This will clear up further buildup in the mop head area.
6. Turn it on and try to use it as usual.

If it's no longer making steam the boiler could be bad. Shark makes no replacement parts that I know of. Best thing to do would be call the company.

Suggest go online and locate parts diagram for your unit. Use care when dealing with electricity.

check to see if something has not stopped it up. On the bottom of beater bar attachment there is a access plate.
