Seiko Melodies in Motion Wall Clock QXM123BRH. It works fine except it does not function on the hour as it is suppose to-demo works fine.

Question edited for clarity, 'make model (what it is)'. Question moved from Video Consoles to make model category. I am having difficulty finding a manual, but as I understand it there is a switch for you can switch off chimes and movement at night when you go to bed. https://www.google.com/search?q=Seiko+qxm123brh+instructions Ask Seiko Support direct.. https://www.seikoclocksusa.com/support/manuals/ ..

I inherited a Seiko Westminster chime clock. The time is perfect but the hourly chimes are 3 hours behind. How can I synchronize the two?

The next time it gongs multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it strikes once. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 6 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set. Fix Clock That Gongs Wrong

How do I change melodies?

The melodies should change each hour on it's own. You can change the melodies manually by pressing the demo button repeatedly. If the songs don't change each hour, you might try new batteries. I'd recommend Japanese batteries like Fuji, or Toshiba. I use Varta which is a German brand battery that's equivalent to either Duracell, or Energizer, and have no problems. If you've had the clock for a number of years, or have had it hanging in direct sunlight, or near a heat source it could be in need of professional assistance, and or repair. (if possible)

Seiko wall clockNeed battery cover and repairs Model #QXM139SRH

I sent my clock off to Seiko for repair, useless, they said it was in the circuitry. I had them send my clock back. I ordered a new gear box $2.00, replaced that, it will work as long as it's flat. If you look you can see how the clock cycles I made sure it was "locked" in (you can hand force it) then I removed one of the gears so it doesn't cycle down but stays in the up position at all times. Music plays, lights go, just no motion now. Call Seiko for replacement battery cover.

Why does my Seiko only play the intro to a melody?

Mine does the same thing. It plays the intro and starts the melody then goes back to the intro. I've changed batteries. If I move the song selection switch I can get it to work but only for a while.

Seiko clock battery corrosion.

Use vinegar to clean out the battery compartment. It will neutralize the battery acid. Then take what is left of the springs and pull them out so they make contact with the new batteries. Sounds like you got a hold of some bad batteries.
