This is where you must be able to read a wiring diagram and do some "live" checks on parts. First easy check is to make sure power is coming off your control board at the MW relay. Make sure of the wires and test here, if you have 120 volts at this point, you have ruled out a lot of parts that could be the problem. You have now ruled out any switch problems, control board problems, or a thermostat or 2.If you do not have power from that MW relay on the control board, you must trace the wiring back to see if the proper voltage is going through your switches, any thermostats, and arriving at your control board. Your wiring diagram on your sheet will show you where and what to test. Below is a general switch test troubleshooting guide.

No I have not, it's not the door micros witch. A couple of symbles come on the control panel with I cannot find out what they are i am sure it's a simple problem, but the manual, which came with the unit, does not have a decode for the symbles on the control panel

You will most lokely need to replace the "beeper" as its components have become worn ut with time

If your timer is not working it is possible that it works on the memory default. Possible that the main board or the panel is faulty. To start with you can clean the boards and dry in case you notice these are soiled by insects. If not the board can be faulty and old models are difficult to source.

Wallace, I am not finding that where I normally look because they say it is no longer manufactured and parts are not available. One place suggested checking around with local parts stores that might have one available or to check on E-Bay. Sorry I could not help you more.

I did a google search for the service manual and found one from Sanyo support. From that I was able to figure out how to open the unit safely, and find the fuses and safety switches to check. I found a loose wire plugged onto the main interlock switch (don't know how it worked all this time for how loose it was...). Re-attached it, and now it works fine.
WARNING! There can be very hi voltages on the inside of the uwave so you really need to be careful and know what you are doing! Also, you need a special bit to remove a couple of the cover screws.
