To give you an accurate answer you would have to give a general idea of your location, not your exact location just the city or area, as to get that battery pack you would have to go to a particular cam shop, however you can try ebay to get one at a good price.

Please check if the lens can move free. If there is any obstruction, it will stop and the camera will give an error. Also never try to stop the lens from moving. Start over again. I already did answer this? But I forgot the point, If your lens is dirty (must be bad) you only can clean it with a special lens pen or a micro five cloth, if a special fluid is used. Never clean lenses with anything else, because the coating on the lens is easy damaged. When the coating is damaged, you never will get any clear pictures os videos.

Could be a problem with the LCD display... it is defective. If you turn the unit on, and nothing is displayed in the LCD, not even a menu can be displayed and the > play button does nothing to show your pictures... then it is broken.

Go into your menu and reset the camera to factory defaults, then try it.
