I don't have a computer is there any other way to format sandisk 16gb SD card for my moto e?
Odd how the few who tried to answer ignored this part of the question, "I don't have a computer". Or the fact the person specified the item in question is a micro SD card for a phone, but people kept answering as if it were a flash drive, or a computer was related. Open your eyes people. Sheesh!!!
As with most phones with SD card readers they will have their own method of mounting/formatting a card for use in the phone. DO NOT use the computer to format the card prior to using it in a phone.
Insert the card into the phone and open settings. Find memory card options. Scroll down to mount card option. Select that to mount the card. Another option should be available or should appear after the card is mounted. Format the card using this method to be used on the Moto E.
Same thing applies to camera's... they will have their OWN format /mounting method and you shouldn't use a PC version format. As the device will have some format or parameter is requires in order for the card to be used in that device. Only use a PC format if the product specifies to use a PC to format.

If the pen drive is working, the data is there and can be recovered. I
think it could be due to virus activity. Some virus make the contents
of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files and the space
available for use is less than the capacity.
It is suggested that go
to FOLDER OPTIONS - and select SHOW HIDDEN FILES. It may show the
hidden files. Otherwise, you can use any data recovery program to recover the data. Please not that you should not sav/write any data to avoid overwriting the existing data.
Hope this helps!

How can I recover a deleted file on my Cruzer USB
if you have choosen only delete option then you can restore it from recycle bin
but in most cases the deleted files from usb drive does not go into recycle bin, rather they are pemanently deleted.
if you have choosen shift+delete then there is no way that you can get the file back as shift+delete permanently deletes the files..
My sandisk is failing to
Hello Sean,
Please try to format the SD card using the SD Formatter 3.0 for SD/SDHC/SDXC. The software formats all SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards.
Download the software from the link provided below :

I forgot my password, how i reuse my memory card?
Do you need your data back? Is it lost without the password?
Hardly anyone we know besides ourselves can solve this. I wont go on posting links to our many many stories about this topic unless you all request me to, as many sites see this as spam.
We are developing tools to help those people that are having major issues with loosing data on microSD cards. Many of the cards produced these days are becoming damaged, bent etc. There is no rhyme or reason for these issues, they just happen. microSD's showing a size of 31MB is becoming common, it's a bad situation, it means the card is badly damaged. You will need assistance from an educated professional. :) Yay, right? Well there are some that DO know what's up here. This I promise. :victory:
We are consulting directly with NASA and act as the primary lab for such cases daily, we are in business for over 15 years. There is a sense of desperation these days in dealing with damaged and lost data on microSD's. We are at about a 45% success rate no matter what has happened to a microSD. Many of them are reported as the wrong size, many are not recognized and some have obvious issues such as breaks, cracks, lost passwords etc.
No matter what others say anywhere there is hope for you all that have major issues. microSD cards are considered monolith devices (monolithic). USB sticks and regular SD cards these days can be made with NAND wafers or a complete package, what we call in the industry a monolith storage device. We can get inside these devices by taking off layers with special machinery and we also can use many other options to get around the microSD damage or lack of access.
I will only say below in my signature who we are and hope we can share and help this thread and community with future success stories, if anyone has questions and MUST have a solution feel free to reach out to me/us.

I am also looking to collaborate with others on this topic that are engineering minds with experience on this topic. It's a big problem these days as we dig into iPhones, SSD's etc. We are dealing with all storage devices, mostly new technology and we have a global network with some amazing gear-heads to solve all these problems... but I am trying as fast as possible to increase the success rates and expand knowledge on such data recovery cases so please let me know if you are interested in staying in touch ongoing.

How do I delete files on SD card
Connect your device to a computer, it should be recognized as a Removasble disk. Open folders and delete files you want to delete.
Depending on device you are using, you might need a driver fro your Operating system to get your card reconized

I have Pen drive of 8gb. it has any folders and virus has hidden some files from folders and some are visible.
I Have Rum CMD command and attrib -h -r -s /s /d h:\*.*
Hi there, you need not to put anything further on that drive. Many drives sold are fakes, i.e they are purported to be a particular capacity when they are hacked devices that are not the stated capacity. If your drive is one and you have exceeded the actual/real capacity the drive will have overwritten some of the data that was previously stored on it.
You need, before doing anything else, to download and install H2TESTW V1.4 this is described as the gold standard software for testing electronic storage devices. It is free.
Install it and run the application, when the test has completed you will find out whether the true capacity of your device is 8gb and whether a virus has infected it or whether the device is less than 8gb. If the device is 8gb and the presence has caused the effects you describe a data recovery process can begin.
I wish you the best of luck

How do I unlock a usb?
If it is locked there should be a switch somewhere on the body of the device, it will obviously be very small.
