Samsung pn59d6500df display turns off after 5 minutes. Comes back on when unplugged for a while. Cannot see any bad caps.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be on a separate board, or on the part of its main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If Vs & Va voltages will differ to an extent, this type of fault can occur to Plasma TVs. The adjustment to these voltages are possible, and the adjustments presets are there at the power regulator board. Please contact any service technician before replace the power board. Even though you replace this board, you have to adjust the above said voltages after fitting the new power board too.

58" Samsung plasma has no picture. While I was watching TV, it made a popping sound and went out. I have sound but no picture. Which circuit board should I change?

Unplug it, take the back off and have a look. If something was popping, im sure you will find which board blew out. Make sure you get the full model and serial number so that when you order a replacement, you get the right one.

Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Heard a sound like a fuse blowing and smelled burnt plastic and lost picture

I would bet even money that a capacitor on the power supply popped. If you look at the boards it will be evident as there will be a blackened spot. Might be an easy fix if it is just a failed capacitor.

My Samsung TV doesn't show a picture, when there was a picture audio and remote not working. Which boards need replaced?

If there is no audio then most likely your main board. If your red power stand by light blinks less than 3 s then its the M/B. If its more than 3 s then its the P/B.
