Roper whirlpool model 2314273-A

This sounds like a defrost drain problem. Behind the panel in the back of freezer is a heater that defrosts the evaporator and below that is a drain hole. They will occasionally get clogged or just freeze over Pour hot water down it until it thaws then check to see if the water drains normally. If it drains after thawing then get a small length regular electrical wire and twist one end around the heater. You should get enough to extend the other end 2 or 3in into the drain hole. Now when the heater turns on it will heat the wire and thaw any ice in the top of the drain.
If you can't get water to drain then there is something clogging the drain tube and you'll have to find a way to clear it. I use a steamer that has a small tip to build pressure and force the clog out. Hope this helps.

I have a Roper RT18HDXKQ Top Freezer Refrigerator.

Hi, the most basic question is to ask if it is turned on? I looked at the model you provided and it has an adaptive defrost with a standard mechanical thermostat. I do not how mechanical you are or how familiar you are with safety procedures while working with electricity so if you are at all uncomfortable then I will suggest that you call a professional to diagnose this for you. If you have basic tools and are comfortable working around electricity then the first thing I would try is unplugging the unit and dropping the control housing ( where the knob is to turn it on,up, or off) and remove the two thermostat wires (should be three but one is green and stays there). Next, jump it out with a scrap piece of wire and plug in to see if the unit turns on. If it does then replace the thermostat, if not then ohm it to make sure it is opening and closing correctly. If it is then the problem is most likely the adaptive defrost board is stuck and should be replaced. Again, if you have any doubt in your ability's then call a professional! Good luck!!

Our refrigerator keeps tripping the

first thing to do if it is continually tripping is to replace the gfci. they do go bad over time. Shut the breaker off to it. remove and note which wires go to which screw. if it gets wired wrong because going by memory. tis not fun trying to figure it out. Best of luck hope this helps and solves it. It should, if not call a tech for the fridge. or post model and make and we can go from there.

Freezer and frig not as cold

It sounds like the heater that automatically defrosts the unit may have failed. Before calling service I recommend checking the following: all door seals, make sure they are closed and sealing properly, also the condenser coil either on the back or bottom of the machine should be vacuumed out regularly to get rid of dust buildup. If that's all good it may be the defrost heater and if you're handy you can look up on youtube how to replace it or call a professional.
