Sounds like your Blackberry is locked for certain provider, and it does not accept Cricket SIM card. Also, based on the search for your model, it's Verizon, which could be CDMA only. I don't know, if your SIM card for "old Cricket" (which was CDMA), or "new Cricket / AT&T", which is GSM.

I have one more attempt at my password and it will wipe out my memory. How do I recover or set a new password?
- Use a browser in the BlackBerry PlayBook or a personal or laptop computer and go to the BlackBerry ID Password Reset page.
- Enter your username (your BlackBerry ID) in the first box.
- Enter the slightly scrambled verification code in the second box. The CAPTCHA system helps prevent computerized attempts at cracking password codes; presumably humans are better at reading those oddly shaped characters. If you have trouble with one set, tap Refresh the Image to get a new group.
- Click Submit.
If you've done it correctly, a confirmation message tells you that reset instructions have been sent to the BlackBerry ID e-mail address. For security reasons, the reset instructions don't go to your BlackBerry smartphone or to your BlackBerry PlayBook. The idea is to prevent an unauthorized user from picking up either device and gaining control of it.
- On a personal or laptop computer, log in to the e-mail account you specified and find the message.
You can log in also on any other e-mail-capable device other than your BlackBerry PlayBook or BlackBerry smartphone. The message comes from [email protected]. If you can't find it, check the spam folder.
- Click the link in the message.
A web browser should load on the device; if it doesn't, tap the link and copy; then open a browser and paste it there.
- When the password reset page loads, enter a new password for your BlackBerry ID.
- Now confirm.

Why is my camera screen black and I get an error 4003 message?
I know this may sound lame but have you tried turning your device OFF for 20-30 minutes (not standby)? It's saved my bacon more than a few times... If that doesn't work, try going to
blackberryworld.com. They might be able to help you.
GOOD LUCK!!!

My Blackberry Playbook won't allow me past the agreement stage of the initial set-up. There is no country shown in the drop down menu. Advice please
Hey Brian,
This might be a little more complex, but it does work. When you plug your Blackberry into your computer, under the software forget your existing device. From there go ahead and reinstall the desktop software. Unplug your Blackberry and run the desktop manager. In the device menu the only available options are Sync Type, Switch Devices and Exit. Power down the Blackberry. In the desktop software, go ahead and click the Switch Devices button and plug in your Blackberry as prompted. From here be sure you have a local wifi you can connect to and the Blackberry should start up as normal.
