Try a new battery. This is usually due to a bad or old battery that can't hold the charge properly.

Go to your provider's website and make sure you have their latest recommended version of both the desktop redirector and the handheld OS. Even if it is the correct version, I would suggest unistalling the destop software, restart, then reinstall.....then reinstall the handheld OS (which is the longest step....about 20 min) then, before you let the handheld sync, delete the User's Outlook profile and recreate it.....all of this will take you about an hour.

You may also want to rename the "Research in Motion" folder to something like "OLDResearch in Motion" in C:\Program Files, before you reboot. This will ensure that the new install doesn't pick up any of the old values for your BB.

To download ringtone follow the below mentioned steps:
1) Select media icon
2) Select ringtone
3) press menu button
4) select download ringtone

I know this may sound lame but have you tried turning your device OFF for 20-30 minutes (not standby)? It's saved my bacon more than a few times... If that doesn't work, try going to blackberryworld.com. They might be able to help you. GOOD LUCK!!! jammers

take it to a phone repair shop as you may ,just may be able to retrieve the hard drive where all the files will be

Hey Brian, This might be a little more complex, but it does work. When you plug your Blackberry into your computer, under the software forget your existing device. From there go ahead and reinstall the desktop software. Unplug your Blackberry and run the desktop manager. In the device menu the only available options are Sync Type, Switch Devices and Exit. Power down the Blackberry. In the desktop software, go ahead and click the Switch Devices button and plug in your Blackberry as prompted. From here be sure you have a local wifi you can connect to and the Blackberry should start up as normal.

Have you tried a soft reset? (Turning the unit off for at least 10 minutes and then on again) Is the password asked for right after you turn it on? Can you get to your settings? If you can get to your settings, go to Security. Choose Development Mode and choose Disable. It will probably ask for your password. Good Luck! Jammers

My advise is check the cup while you are at the counter just when you pay for it. If the cup has been played with give it back and demand to see the manager. That is illegal if they do this.

Don't panic this is quite normal.
Even when you are not using the phone it is still on and actively connected to your service network. Therefore using battery power.

Actually to get 48 hours from your handset is very good.
Normally you would have to re-charge the 81xx series at least every 24 hours.
I was charging mine every 12-14 hours.

try to soft reset it,simultaneously press the alt key+shiftkey+backspace key.

go to blackberry.com. and the vidio will tell u how to fix the battery. lol.
