Does anyone know how to put a barrel pin jack in a radio shack pro 2034 police scanner thanks
To install a barrel pin jack in a RadioShack Pro-2034 police scanner, you will need to follow these steps:
- Locate the appropriate input/output port on the back of the scanner. This is typically a 3.5mm or 1/8-inch jack.
- Gather the necessary tools and materials. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver, a barrel pin jack, and any connecting wires or cables that are required.
- Carefully remove the back panel or cover of the scanner to access the internal components.
- Locate the input/output port on the circuit board inside the scanner.
- Carefully disconnect any existing wires or cables that are connected to the port.
- Connect the barrel pin jack to the circuit board using the appropriate wires or cables. Make sure to follow the wiring diagram or instructions provided with the jack to ensure proper connection.
- Secure the jack in place using the screws provided, or by soldering the connections if required.
- Replace the back panel or cover of the scanner and test the new barrel pin jack to ensure it is functioning correctly.
It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and use caution when installing any components or making modifications to your scanner. If you are unsure about any aspect of the installation process, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified technician or the manufacturer.
Help to unlock Radio Shack Pro-70 Scanner
To unlock your Radio Shack Pro-70 Scanner, you can try the following steps:
- Turn off the scanner by pressing and holding the "Power" button until the scanner turns off.
- Press and hold the "Func" button while turning on the scanner again. Keep holding the "Func" button until the scanner finishes its power-up routine and the display shows "Program."
- Use the number buttons to enter the four-digit unlock code. If you don't know the unlock code, try entering "0000," which is the default code for many Radio Shack scanners.
- Press "E" to confirm the code. If the code was entered correctly, the scanner should now be unlocked and you should be able to access all functions.
If the above steps do not work, try resetting the scanner to its factory defaults. To do this, turn off the scanner, then press and hold the "2," "9," and "MAN" buttons while turning on the scanner again. Keep holding the buttons until the scanner displays "Factory Test." Press the "Func" button to confirm the reset.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that there is a hardware issue with the scanner and it may need to be serviced or replaced.
Need a manual to program radio freq for a RCA four
Please excuse me if I've already answered your question -- it sounds familiar. The RCA 16S400 is a 70's-vintage crystal based scanner that covers the VHF-Low, VHF-High, and UHF bands using frequency-specific crystals. It is not programmable, but rather requires one crystal for each frequency to be scanned/tuned. It uses Regency-type crystals which can usually be found on eBay at reasonable prices.

Radio Shack Pro-84 reception issues
Hi,
Please double check that the device isn't close to any antenna's or microwaves when you're using it. Also, you don't want to operate close to any radios or walkie talkies as their frequencies could cause interference. Thank you.
