Problem
You have a failed circuit board there somewhere, maybe the power supply.
42-inch Protron LCD TV Remote Doesn't Work nor Does a Universal Remote Replacement
Your problem is not with the remote but rather the circuitry designed to respond to the signals transmitted by the remote(s)
Find out what board has the circuitry that responds to the remote signals and replace that board. Got a better idea?.
If very expensive then you have 2 choices - deal with a remote less set or get a new one.
Spectroniq Protron PLTV-32 32 in. Plasma Television
Do a GOOGLE search for the manual!
Did you happen to lose home power even for a few seconds when this happened? It may have reset itself for a default input such as composite video instead of cable or HDMI. In that case, no matter how much you change channels you'll get nothing. If you have a cable box the TV may have changed to channel 2 or 4 instead of 3 which is what's needed.
P.S. all the manuals I see say it's an LCD not Plasma.

Protron PLTV-27NW30 has no sound
Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. No signal using digital antenna
In some areas, it can depend on the antenna used. In areas close to the stations, you should pick up fine with just about any antenna. If you're out in the country or even thirty to forty-five minutes away from the station, you will probably need an outdoor antenna. Even with this in mind, in some areas, the antenna may need to be higher or lower than your neighbors antenna. As an example, I lived in an area where, with analog television, my outdoor antenna was on a twenty foot pole. When I switched to digital, I had to lower my antenna about five feet. A person, one city block behind me, had mimiced what I had done before and after the switch. Because of the job I had at the time, he showed up at my work and inquiried about the reason he wasn't getting anything. After telling him that I had to play with the height of mine, and that he might need to take his higher, he went to try it. Two days later, he came back saying that he was getting great reception, but he had to go the full extent of his thirty foot pole. That's just within a city block, but I've even talked with people in the country where some have been lucky enough to be able to use an indoor antenna and their neighbors had an outdoor one about twenty to thirty foot high. Some have even needed to go to a good fifty feet.
How to adjust color
In all the TV's I have owned, you always push the MENU button on your controller and choose settings. In here you should find the controls for you color adjustments.
Screen is Perfect just Black and White only...No Color
well a dvd player is only going to playback the media it is reading. So if the dvd is a reproduction of a b/w western then b/w is correct but if you play a dvd from the present then it should be in color unless the tv it is connected to is faulty. Try connecting to another tv to see if problem repeats on another tv
Cant promgrame my comcast xr2-u2 remote control to operate my protron 3750 lcd tv.
Try an auto code search procedure. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.
