You device has failed, replace it.

You have a failed circuit board there somewhere, maybe the power supply.

Your problem is not with the remote but rather the circuitry designed to respond to the signals transmitted by the remote(s) Find out what board has the circuitry that responds to the remote signals and replace that board. Got a better idea?. If very expensive then you have 2 choices - deal with a remote less set or get a new one.

it can be mounted, they sell a universal hanging kit, you will see 4 holes in the back of the tv, thats where you put the screws for the mount

take it to a repairman problem in the audio circuit or IF circuit.good luck.

Do a GOOGLE search for the manual! Did you happen to lose home power even for a few seconds when this happened? It may have reset itself for a default input such as composite video instead of cable or HDMI. In that case, no matter how much you change channels you'll get nothing. If you have a cable box the TV may have changed to channel 2 or 4 instead of 3 which is what's needed. P.S. all the manuals I see say it's an LCD not Plasma.

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. In some areas, it can depend on the antenna used. In areas close to the stations, you should pick up fine with just about any antenna. If you're out in the country or even thirty to forty-five minutes away from the station, you will probably need an outdoor antenna. Even with this in mind, in some areas, the antenna may need to be higher or lower than your neighbors antenna. well a dvd player is only going to playback the media it is reading. So if the dvd is a reproduction of a b/w western then b/w is correct but if you play a dvd from the present then it should be in color unless the tv it is connected to is faulty. Try connecting to another tv to see if problem repeats on another tv

Many models do not have manual controls you must obtain the remote.
