Look at the nameplate on the motor, it'll either say 230/115V and list the current draw for each, or it'll just say 230v. If it offers both then you'll find a plate where the wire goes into the motor, under this it'll tell you how to change the voltage the motor requires.

Keep in mind, at the lower voltage it'll draw twice the amps so you want to be sure you have a heavy enough circuit to feed it.

I have a powermatic 66.

Hello. Remove that set screw all together. I believe you will find that there is a 2nd set screw as well. If either set screw is flattened on the end replace it. Set screws are available at most hardware stores. J.

I have a Powermatic 66 that trips breaker

Either it has a problem with a blade brake or the motor is siezing. Or the is a wiring problem. With the unit unplugged check and see if you can turn the blade by hand, if not the motor is the problem. If it does you could still have a motor problem by it drawing to much amperage or the is a wiring problem.

Can the air pressure on the regulator be increased

Hello. The air regulator is part of the lower pulley assembly. Check the entire length of the air hose and remove any kinks or pinches in it. If the belt is loose and/or slipping, the air will not be generated at the desired rate. Check that. And here is a free downloadable owner manual in case you do not have one http://content.powermatic.com/manuals/M_1791216K.pdf

Sounds like its running rough, slight vibration during shutoff

There are no grease fittings that I know of, I know mine doesn't have any, I would blame the trouble on a belt, or a blade. And if that doesn't do it, I would look at the bearings on the shaft. But that being the best saw made, as far as I'm concerned, You shouldn't have any problem. If it was a delta, you would be buying a boat just to dump the saw in the ocean. Hope this helps.

Table saw capacitor heats up and explodes.

The wrong capacitor for one thing. There are starting caps and running caps. The starting cap is in the circuit for only long enough for the motor to get up to speed. If you have a Leeson motor that has a start and run cap then the run cap may not be the correct on. If you have a start cap blowing out I suggest you check the centriifugal switch in the end of the motor. It may have welded the contacts shut. In any case, I would take it to a motor shop .

My Powermatic 66 table saw won't start.

Your saw motor is equipped with a two speed internal start switch. Over time saw dust will get into the contacts and cause the points to burn. You can pull the end off of the motor and take some 400 grit sandpaper to the contacts to clean them( there are two sets of contacts one works in the out position the other in the in position) it will be the set in the in position that is the problem. Gentle clean them, reassemble the motor end cap and it will work fine. I have to do this about once a year to my saws. I use my saws about 25 hours a week. I have been doing this to one of my Powermatic saws for 31 yrs. now.

I have a Powermatic 66. The table top not aligned

The factory never intended for you to touch the 4 bolts you mentioned. The table top is set parallel with the blade by loosening the 3 bolts (2 in front and one in rear on the outside of the cast iron table where it meets the base. These are easily accessible by sitting on a milk crate and looking up. They are 3/8 bolts with 9/16 heads.

Iam putting new tires on a power matic band saw

While a crown is desirable as it helps tires to last longer, it is not absolutely essential. If properly set up the bandsaw should run fine, but just expect the tires not to last as long as crowned wheels as the crowns help keep the teeth off the tire surface.

Switch bad - need internal parts - circuit board

Hi,

Looks like a 40A breaker .. would suggest having a review of the user/service manual located at http://content.powermatic.com/manuals/1660760K_man.pdf

If you can remove the switch you will probably be able to get one from Radio Shack etc fairly easily

If this helps, pls leave feedback, if not let me know and I'll try and help some more!

this is most probably a wiring problem, either pay for it to be mended, or diy at your own risk.

okay
1st. UNPLUG FROM MAINS.
2nd. remove the front panal, which is around the on button
3rd. there should be a wire connecting the on button to the rest of the wiring, make sure that hasnt been knocked about, make sure the button is clean and then re-attach the front panal and start it up.

if this doesnt mend the problem, i suggest getting someone professional to fix it, this may cost though.
