On my plantronics cs540a i do not get a beep to let me know there is an incoming call.

If your Plantronics CS540A is not providing a beep to let you know there is an incoming call, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the ringer volume is turned on and set to an appropriate level. You can adjust the ringer volume using the button on the base of the Plantronics CS540A or through the settings on your phone or computer.
  2. Check the mute button: Make sure that the mute button on the Plantronics CS540A or on your phone or computer is not engaged.
  3. Check the connection: Make sure that the Plantronics CS540A is properly connected to the phone or computer.
  4. Check the battery level: Make sure that the battery on the Plantronics CS540A is charged and that there is enough battery power to provide a beep.
  5. Check the software updates: Make sure that the Plantronics CS540A has the latest software updates installed.
  6. Check the settings of your phone or computer, there could be an option to turn off the ringtones of the headset.
  7. Check the volume of the ringer, it should be set to an appropriate level.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance. It's recommended to check the user manual of your device before trying any of the above steps, as the process of troubleshooting the ringer can vary depending on the model and manufacturer.

Cannot get my softphone to

You probably need to check your audio controls in your computer's control panel to make your headset the default audio device and also make sure your softphone control panel is set the same way.Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Audio notification issue with BT600

Hi, since re-pairing caused this, please perform another re-pair and check for the pre-sounds beeps again. I'm guessing that you might have accidentally skipped a step in your first attempt and it led to this sound occurring. Thank you.

Battery

Bad news: The battery in the Plantronics M2500 is NOT replaceable under ordinary circumstances. And unfortunately, this trend of non-replaceable batteries seems to be catching on with manufacturers, like with Apple IPods. But here it's even worse, because you can't even open the battery cover unless you're willing to DESTROY the case in the process!

But when my Plantronics M2500's batteries stopped taking a charge, I figured it was as good as destroyed anyway. So if you're a lunatic like I, and are DETERMINED to revive your dead M2500 rather than recycle this rather expensive bluetooth headset, it is possible -- though very difficult -- to replace the batteries.

First you have to find two 1/4 AAA NiMH batteries (10mmX14mm), preferably with solder tabs. These are not easy to find, especially when you just want two of them. So if you can't get these, this is the end of the story. But if you can get the batteries and have successfully soldered them together, you then "simply" (ha ha!) pry off off the battery case (under the dark gray rubbery stuff) by cracking the glue line and pulling it off.

Be sure to keep the mangled bit of plastic case that WAS covering the battery compartment. No, you can't use it again, but it will remind you never again to buy electronics with non-replaceable batteries.

Solder in your new battery pack, and see if the M2500 will charge up and then turn on. If it won't, THIS may be the end of the story. But if it does, congratulations! You have replaced the batteries! You're finished except you just have to figure out how to rebuild the case. I used epoxy clay, which can be molded into any shape, and then hardens into a rock-hard chunk of plastic. That works pretty well, but once you do that, you'll not be able to do all this again. Which may be a good thing. :-)

My Plantronics Voyager Legend has a constant buzzing noise, it does not work at all. When I turn it off or on, it does not matter, just a buzzing noise.

I just had this happen to me. Like yours mine just kept buzzing and the on and off switch had no effect. It just kept buzzing.

The way I was able to fix it was to reset the device by holding both the mute button and the call pick up button until the buzzing stopped. It took only 3 seconds to fix and it immediately began to work. When I switched it on the buzzing was gone and it was working again.

I hope this helps anyone as I didn't see and answer to this issue online anywhere and had to figure it out myself. Take care.

How to Replace the Battery of 590 plantronics?

17 jun 2010

Thank you safauoc! I am going to look into the matter of replacing the battery on the now discontinued and very expensive Plantronics 590a.
753f191.jpg It came as a very big disappointment to learn that this headset is not compliant with Bluetooth V2.0 and the Blutooth Handsfree Profile. To get it to work with Skype, I had to purchase the Plantronics BUA-100 dongle - which was also very very expensive.
883c841.jpg Now the battery is evidently failing - and the 590a's range is getting shorter and shorter.

I do not think that Plantronics has managed this device's roll-out in a competant manner.

PLANTRONICS SG_106 BATTERY REPLACEMENT

If it is the internal CMOS battery, it should be an easy swap. There is a high potential that this will reset the radio settings and you will lose all saved channels/frequencies, and have to reprogram them. Cell size is usually a CR2032 or CR2032R. The R is for the rechargable version, but not all equipment will do that. If it isn't a black socket that you can easily pop batteries in and out of, you may have to buy one with solder tabs or wires already attached. I don't reccomend trying to solder directly on the battery because it can fail and even expload from the heat.

I purchased a Plantronics CS510. Order nbr: FOS9081388E. Need help with headset.

Your order number is irrelevant to anyone except Plantronics Support and the vendor, and you should not quote it to anyone but them. For anyone to help you, you need to make an effort yourself. e.g. Instead of stating you 'need help', read all the product's manuals, take the installation steps suggested, and then state specifically what your problem is.These pages may help you:https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/product
