Check the balance control. Apart from that the unit will have to be checked internally to ascertain where the signal is breaking down. This will require some skill and some equipment. My guess is it will be a dry solder joint or a dried out capacitor. If a capacitor looks 'leaky' or swollen, it is a good bet it is outside its tolerance and should be replaced. Sorry couldn't be any better help. Good luck.

To factory reset your Pioneer VSX-D508 audio receiver, you will need to follow these steps:
Turn off the receiver.
Press and hold the "Tone" and "Speaker A" buttons on the front panel of the receiver.
While holding these buttons, turn the power back on.
When the display shows "Initialize," release the buttons.
The receiver will now begin the factory reset process. When it is finished, the display will show "Completed."
Turn the receiver off and then back on again to complete the reset.
Keep in mind that this process will reset all of the settings on your receiver to their default values. You will need to reconfigure any settings that you have changed since you purchased the receiver.
That type of subwoofer is not used with this receiver. This receiver actually outputs no power for a subwoofer, therefore only needs a plain ol' rca signal wire. This is due to the fact that you need a powered sub... one that you plug in to the wall and it has its own built in amp. you simply run an rca from yyour 505s to that sub.
If your Pioneer SX-218 receiver is not producing any sound or showing any indication of power, despite hearing a clicking sound when you push the power button, there could be a few potential causes for the issue:
Power Supply: Verify that the receiver is properly connected to a working power outlet and that the power cable is securely plugged in. Check for any loose connections or damaged power cords. Try plugging the receiver into a different power outlet to eliminate the possibility of a faulty outlet causing the issue.
Protection Mode: Some receivers have built-in protection mechanisms that activate in case of a fault or short circuit. This can cause the receiver to shut down and not produce any sound. Check for any obvious issues, such as loose speaker wires or a shorted speaker. Disconnect all speakers and peripherals from the receiver, then power it on to see if it starts up. If it does, gradually reconnect the speakers and peripherals one by one to identify any potential issues.
Speaker Impedance: Ensure that the speakers connected to the receiver have the correct impedance rating compatible with the receiver's specifications. Using speakers with impedance levels outside the recommended range can cause the receiver to go into protection mode or produce no sound.
Reset the Receiver: Perform a factory reset on the receiver to eliminate any settings-related issues. Refer to the user manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to reset your specific model. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase any custom settings and configurations, so you may need to set up the receiver again afterward.
Internal Component Fault: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be an internal component failure in the receiver. In such cases, it is recommended to contact Pioneer customer support or consult a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
Remember to consult the user manual for your Pioneer SX-218 receiver for specific troubleshooting steps and instructions tailored to your model. If you are unsure or uncomfortable performing any troubleshooting steps, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid causing further damage to the receiver.
To program your Sanyo GXDB remote to work with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver, you can try the following steps:
Turn on the Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver manually using the power button located on the receiver itself.
Hold down the "Code Search" button on your Sanyo GXDB remote until the LED light on the remote stays lit or blinks.
Press the "TV" or "DVD" button on the remote, depending on which device mode you want to program the receiver to.
Enter the corresponding code for Pioneer receivers. You can find a list of Pioneer remote control codes in the instruction manual that came with your Sanyo GXDB remote or by searching online. Enter the code using the number buttons on the remote.
Point the remote at the Pioneer receiver and press the "Power" button. If the receiver turns off, it means the remote has been successfully programmed. If not, repeat the process using a different code from the list until you find the one that works.
Once the remote successfully turns off the receiver, press the "Code Search" button again to save the code. The LED light on the remote should turn off or stop blinking.
Test the remote by pressing other buttons, such as volume up/down or channel up/down, to ensure it is functioning properly with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver.
If you're still having trouble programming the remote, consult the instruction manual that came with the Sanyo GXDB remote or contact Sanyo customer support for further assistance.
