The cd is in the front. Is the cd turning creating the whirling sound? Does the unit have any lights on by chance?

HelloIf the tV has a "Menu" button at tis fron panel, you can press it and surf through, come to input selector window, and can change the input to TV. If there is no Menu button on its front panel, there is no other way to change the inputs without its remote control.

See a repairman for your television. The screen projecting the LCD is dettached.

Get a universal remote to do the above.

Try 606 or 616 one of those should work.

Scroll down and Highlight Center Input, And select Off.

If it dont work first time round, Disconnect all Audio/Video leads from TV, and try again.

Measure the connector from the logic board to the power supply the second pin from the left it will say Vs_ On if the set has 3.1 volts the problem is the SSB or the logic board. On the logic board there should be a solid led and a flashing led that shown that data id flowing and the problem is the SSB. The SSB is easy to replace just remember what you tokk loose and from where. You probely will save money that way. If the set is in warranty or just out of warranty contact Philips 1-888-744-5477 and see what they can do first.

It could be because the TV's screen is starting to go bad and that your TV's screen and TV are starting to die on you.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. The tape mechanism is not loading and shuts down. Could be; Motor Belt Clutch Misalignment etc etc etc
