Under 'settings' there should be a 'volume limiter', when you turn the max volume up make sure press the middle button to save it :)

That little led is a battery 's warning,when green the battery is fully charged,when yellow or orange the battery is half way or so and tells you to charge it pretty soon,once the led goes red then the screen becomes black because no much power. when you charge the Mp3 the display stays on at all the time,it is not an issue or a problem. My ENT doctor said no more ear buds, no more ear phone so I Amazon purchase another GOGEAR Ariaz because they have an external speaker, or so I thought. I tried all to get the speaker ARIAZ 16 gig to work. Nothing. Speaker does not work. The instruction manual that comes right on my 16 gig GoGear Ariaz is for titled GoGear AZURE! AZURE! Where did that come from? The Azure manual does not show a speaker. Go figure. I do not think my Ariaz-Azure has a speaker. It does have Bluetooth that works for me OK with a Philips external Blue Tooth Speaker. No ENT correct external speaker on the player itself? Or am I wrong. The tiny, tiny micro writing label on my "GOGEAR Ariaz" is a label for "SA5AZU16KF/37. Even though the Logo on the case of the GoGear is imprinted ARIAZ! If I am wrong and my Philips Azure???-Ariaz has a speaker I would be pleased to know how to make the speaker work. PS, I do own a GoGear ARIAZ 8G, and it does have a speaker that works for me. .

Hello. The best thing to do is reset it to factory settings. There probibly is a glich with it from downloading files. Good Luck.

There is a little plastic unlock button on the very bottom of the GoGear. Simply slide it over to lock or unlock it.

sound like u do not have the right driver install,search the net for a driver.install and restart the computer.

The files are not deleted from the device but moved to the recycle bin. To completely remove the files from the MP3 player, use the following procedure:

1. Open Windows Explorer by double clicking the My Computer icon on your desktop. 2. Click on the Tools menu and select Folder Options. 3. Select the Tab View and check to select the Show hidden Files and Folders option. 4. Navigate to the device. A folder called recycle bin is available. Completely remove this folder from the device.Once the recycle bin folder is removed, the files are completely removed from the device and the free space is available.

Is it turning off with charger connected or without charger? If it is turning off while charging also, Try doing a soft reset.

1. Insert a small pin or unfolded paperclip into the reset hole located at the back of the player.
2. Hold until the player shuts down.
3. Power on the player again by using the Power on/off key.

If this doesn't help, try repair it using Philips device manager program which came with the CD or downloadable from Philips web.
