Hello
My
apologies if this message finds you long after posting this problem ,
but I am currently working through a backlog of problems that never got
answered and hopefully this info can still be of use if not now possibly
in future.
Please download Disc Digger HERE.
This is a free tool you can use that works very well and there is no
installation required, just run the program once you downloaded it.
Once
you have connected the memory disk / hdd to the computer , run the program.
On
the program , select the dig deep option for accidentally deleted files
or dig deeper for a formatted drive. Then select the disk you want to do
the recovery on and run the program.
The data will be displayed
and you can recover it from there. This will only work if the card has
not been used since the data was lost. Save the files to a location
on the computer hard drive and not back to the disk it is recovering from as this will
overwrite the other pictures that still needs to be recovered.
Some of the properties of the files may become lost in the recovery but the pictures should be fine.
You will also only be able to recover certain file types using this method.
Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.
Kind Regards
Andrea

Hi there
#1
Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

If you have a Windows based computer click on the start menu, then my computer, select the drive from the removable devices section, right click on the drive, select format, then quick format and start. If that doesn't work then left click (double clicking) on the drive and open a folder, once opened drag the mouse over all files to highlight them. Once highlighted press control+Delete on your keyboad and that should remove the files and wipe the drive..
I am not able to format my pen drive
Easiest way to format it is by connecting to the USB port of a PC . Click my computer / identify your Pen drive / right click on the drive - in the drop down Menu one of the options will be format. Click on format and it will warn you that you will loose all data / click yes and it will take about half a minute.
That's it.
When i insert my pendrive

right button on my computer then click manage then device manager .
After that double click diskdrives on the right pane and select your

My pen drive is detecting
Hey Anui kr59,
There is a chance it is trying to use a drive letter that is already in use. For example, if you plug it in the first time and it displays as your "k drive" and then you unplug it. Then you plug in a friend's thumb drive, it takes the "K Drive" title, and then you plug in yours again it will not be able to use the K drive.
In order to check/fix right click on my computer on the desktop. Go to "Manage". On the left side of the Computer Management window click on Disk Management (under Storage). Then right click on the name of your pen drive (typically called the manufacturer's name, default, or removable media). Click on change drive letter and paths. Then click Change, and choose a drive letter that is not currently in use, maybe the R drive. Press OK twice to return to the computer management window, press the X, and you should be back at the desk top and able to access your pen drive.
