Unplug the power to move now the reset buttons are

reset buttons not making good connections...try pushing harder or wiggle the buttons back and forth while pushing down on them...sometimes they make contact that way....if you can get the unit to reset doing that then...have the button assembly cleaned out in the future...good luck

My infor globe does not show the i d caller

for most problews, including caller id, follow these instructions in order:

Put the battery into the battery compartment and connect to the
connectors inside the battery compartment.
Connect the power adapter and telephone cord into matching jacks on the under side
of the base.
Plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet. Plug the telephone cord into the
telephone socket.

my caller id was not working, but everything else was. I followed the instructions above EXACTLY IN ORDER and the caller id is now working.

4310-WONT MEMORISE LONG DISTANCE ACCESS CODES ALSO

Hi,

Unfortunately the manual for your product is not available in English, so I can only give you general instructions.
The 16 digits limit is normal and depends on phone specifications. 16 is the maximum size for stored number.
If the number is not being stored , that may happen because you are using a number that the phone does not recognise as valid. Probably this phone does not allow call transfer to this kind of number.
Ensure that you are following thoroughly the instructions, if the phone is not storing settings , then the number entered is not valid.
Test distance access code with a different number.

Also ensure that you are using the phone in the country where the phone was originally purchased, or the phone may not work as it should.

I have a sharper image

Hi,

Just fixed mine tonight. Follow instructions on http://www.linux-hacker.net/InfoGlobe/for globe removal. I used a .020" feeler guage. The solder joints onthe small circuit board at the end of the arm are subject to vibrationfrom operation and about a bazillion revolutions before failing. You'llneed a good quality soldering iron with a fine tip, some solder wick, abit of patience and a bright light and some reading glasses will nothurt. I removed the solder and then the small board. I'm using an 800degree tip, so with something like that you want to get on/off the padsas fast as reasonably possible so you don't cook it. Then I re-tinnedthe traces and re-soldered the small board onto the end of the arm. Atfirst it didn't want to light up, but on depressing the "Select"button, all was good. Happy to have ol' blue back up and running again:~)

Hope i helped.

Thanks for using "Fixya".

How to change time on Olympia Infoglobe caller id

I have the manual and can tell you what it says:
(this worked for me last year when we went off daylight savings, but for some reason, It doesnt seem to work anymore. I can't imagine that I did anything different then. You can try, though.)
Enter (or leave) the Demonstration Mode by pressing the right key for at least 1 second.
Then, by pressing SELECT key, you are SUPPOSED to be able to scan a menu which lets you pick date format, time format, etc.

This no longer works for me, and the instructions also have a contradictory comment that says the SELECT key is disabled in this mode. But perhaps this will work for you.

I would also appreciate instructions if anyone knows what I am doing wrong.
