I think you need to replace the screen module, from your description of the fault. The 'part behind the screen' IS the LCD module - the front part is for protection. As you can still take pictures and store image files, it is just the screen at fault.

If you have the receipt and store information and/or warranty registered, you may want to return for refund or exchange.

Use your computer to format the card make sure you choose FAT 32 as the format.

If you're calling the SD memory card a chip, then you need to transfer the images with a USB cable to your computer. Once that's done put the memory card back in the camera and all subsequent photos will record on the card.

IMAGE SENSOR defectives. replace it.

Try a factory reset. Most cameras have this facility. Usually there is a small hole where you insert a straightened paper clip. Check your user manual.

You may find it is not focus but camera shake, due to a low shutter speed. Try increasing the ISO to give you a faster shutter speed, see if that helps.

If it has been unused for a length of time, the internal workings are probably in need of cleaning and re-alignment.

I cannot be sure but a 4.5 year old camera 'may' have an old battery. Meaning you charge it to 100% and it has something like 25% total capacity. (Especially if you used the camera a lot) You never see a battery indicator on the display when shooting... like 5 minutes after you charge

This camera does not have Manual Function. Your description sounds like the camera is OFF or needs to be RECHARGED. It seems dead to me - no power.

1) Please charge the camera and make sure the GREEN LED flashes. 2) When the green LED STOPS flashing disconnect the camera from the charger and wait a few seconds. 3) Now that the Camera is off attempt to turn it on. It is in a half way on while charging and you cannot 'turn it on'. 4) In review: Charge it, Disconnect it and turn it on.
