Rewind film

Rewind it and take it to your closest Wal*Mart. They can send the film out to be developed. Depending upon the age of the film, you may experience some color shifts should the film be outdated. Hope that helps, BAX

I recently got a minolta x700, it appeared to be working, the shutter would fire and the film advance lever was working fine even without film or batteries, then when i was going through the functions

What happened when your were testing out batteries and changing the modes? Your question is unclear. I look forward to hearing a followup question. Thanks, BAX

Film will not advance on monolta 7000

You may have reached the end of the film canister or the canister may be jammed. Try rewinding your film and removing the canister and then see if you can advance the camera. If you still cannot advance the camera, you most likely have a problem with the internal gears and will need to have the camera serviced. Hope that helps, BAX

Minolta 5000 Maxxum Auto/Manual, Did it rewind? How do I tell, I am an advanced photog, but this is new. Says 24 with 2 arrows right pointing. Should I darkroom it??? TY

Darkroom is always safest in these situations. Sounds like you don't have a manual - if you google the make and model, followed by the word Manual, you may be able to find one.

My minolta maxxum htsi has recently been cutting the negative in half any idea or suggestion to fix this ruined quite a few frames

Are these pictures being taken with flash ? If so, it could be that you are using too high a shutter speed for the entire frame to be exposed. Most cameras have a flash setting, usually around 1/150 to 1/200 second, and if you use a faster speed the shutter closes before the frame is fully exposed.

Minolta 700 film advance lever was working, then it wouldnt wind, now it is stuck.

Use or buy a brand new battery from store that sell lot of them. Do not get from store that only has a few, meaning they have been sitting there for years. [email protected]

Hello. The batteries on my Minolta Dynax SPxi just died and i wonder how to change them? Do I take them out of the little plastic case or buy a whole new "set" of them? Thanks for any replies

Here is a link to the manual if you need one: http://www.uscamera.com/downloads/maxx3xi-om.pdf Do not open the battery pack to try and replace the batteries, the are Lithium Ion. Purchase a new battery pack for replacement. Many available on eBay.

I have minolta maxxum 5. I put new batteries in. Nothing comes on, it just makes this spinning noise when you turn it on and press the button. Nothing is spinning, it just sounds like it.

The spinning sound may be from the takeup reel spinning. Is film in it? Some cameras spool all the film from the cartridge on to the takeup reel. As we take photos the film is pulled into the cartridge, a safety feature for an accidental opening of the camera back. if none of the above applies to your camera, then it might need repair. Cost of repair could be much more than it is worth. If you like the camera look at KEH.com for another one of that model.

APS film chamber stuck shut. Door won't open when film chamber release button is pressed

Sorry to hear about this issue. If you have a change bag, I would put a few jewelers screwdrivers in it then put the camera in it. With the bag closed up I would attempt to forcibly open the back. With the camera in the bag there is not any chance to expose the film. After the film is removed wind it back into the cartridge. Now send it off for developing. Good luck, Cordially,

Shutter Curtain Doesnt Reset Mirror

If your shutter curtain doesnt close, it may be out of Sync with the shutter button. My Minolta x700 had this problem. My camera guy fixed it for me with a couple of tinker moves. Contact your nearest camera repair shop (if available) and ask how much it would be to fix the Sync between depressing the shutter button and the curtain. it may just be some grime that has it stuck.

I need to know if I can covert my Minolta Maxxum

Yes, if you have a complete electronics workshop and machine shop. Since you're going to have to acquire a sensor, processor, and all the other parts, and then figure out how to put them all together, it would be much cheaper and easier to just buy a new digital SLR.

The mirror on my Minolta x-370 35mm camera wont

Chances are the spring that holds it in place or the catch is broken. If you don't see it loose inside the camera you'll need to send it in for repair to some repair shop as Minolta doesn't repair them any longer.
