Hi. A friend gave me
Your camera very likely has a lens error, this
is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock
generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!
Stuck lenses are probably the most common
reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair
chance of recovering use of your camera again
The fault is
commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it
having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera
was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and
tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply
become
dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.
If your camera
is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse
then contact the manufacturer's service department in your country to find out about a free repair [EDIT: this option definitely will not apply to your camera as it's too old and Minolta no longer exist]. If
the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed
the
cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose
by
trying to fix this yourself.
Please click here
and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera
Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically
manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault. Although the article
mentions Canon a few times, the advice applies equally to all cameras
with lens errors and is not model-specific.

Good
luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera, or
at least are able to use the information to help decide whether to buy
another camera. If you do
decide that you have to throw your camera away then don't forget to
remove the battery as it can be used in other devices.
Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided
for you.
Purchased a used Minolta Supreme
It sounds like the camera isn't detecting the film, but it could be a more serious problem with the hardware...whatever it is, fixing it usually involves swapping out the "brains" of the unit, if it isn't simply the film sensor mech. Even that can require extensive repair..
If it was advertised in good working order, I would return it, since it probably isn't. Communicate with the previous owner to see what can be resolved.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
I havent used my camera

The back of my camera
I've seen this happen multiple times.. Sometimes taking the camera in and out of certain environments can cause the plastic to bend and expand. The way I've fixed this is to simply remove a couple screws from around the camera and the door holding the film in. Sometimes you have to remove all the screws.
Doing so will not damage the unit, just don't pry it apart. Unscrewing a couple of the small screws will loosen the grip that door has a little bit and you should be able to get it open.
Thanks!! Hope this helps! If it does, please rate :)
My camer wont turn on
Make sure the batteries are new and they are placed the correct way(positive to negative that matches the battery posts) and re-push the on button. It takes a second or two for the camera to come on.Hope this helps.
I own a Minolta 7000
If it's a Minolta Maxxum 7000, it should automatically rewind the film when finished with the roll. To manually rewind the film, open the card door on the right side of the camera and press the rewind button. Open the back cover by pressing the button in the center of the back-cover release and sliding the release downward.
