Miele G868 dishwasher - leaks from front panel air vent
Hi all,
I have had the same problem. Here is what I've done. Take the door apart (a whole bunch of screws on the side of the door). The front panel will come off and you will see a rubber tube. Take it off and blow it out. Then take the blower out (you need to unscrew the inside of the blower). Take apart the blower and clean it out.
Good luck.
When attempting to start dishwasher
F70, waterproof system activated. this means you have water in the bottom pan of the dishwasher. your miele shuts itself off and runs the drain pump continuously any time water leaking is detected. you can pull out the black plastic toe kick under the door. there is a cover panel in the center held on with two t20 screws. you can dry up the water and try to run a cycle. if it works ok, cut back on your detergent by 1/2. if it leaks again, you should probably request service from miele. if you want to try to repair it yourself, let me know and I will help you troubleshoot it further.

Why has my Miele G 892 SC dishwasher been in the Rinse cycle for hours?
It could be a program malfunction. Try changing the program in between a running program -
1. Press the "Start/Stop" button for
at least one second.
2. Select the new program using the
program selection buttons.
3. Press the "Start/Stop" button.
The new program will begin.

F14 code Miele Dishwasher
This fault is low pump pressure. more than likely you have some foreign particles jammed in the circulation pump. you would have to remove the unit, tip it on its side and remove the bottom plate and remove the circulation pump and clear the blockage. the unit will start and stop and not work until the pump is clear.

Leaking water out of front vent when opened
Hi jpkenney,
The vent can be replaced. If you open the door and look around the outside of the door, you will see the stainless screws that hold the top & bottom parts of the door on.( the top control section is separate to the rest of the door). Just undo the screws & there you have it. The vent can be replaced easily.
Hope this helps.....goodluck.
Noisy fan on Dishwasher
I hope you didn't buy the new unit. But if the fan screams like a banshee then you probably have the Miele Problem. You have probably read this answer - but here it is again.
You may have the Miele problem. The line that drains the fan housing gets plugged with glop. You just take it out and clean it.
This happens every year or two. Take off the outside front panel to access the hose that runs from the bottom of the fan down to the dispenser, and lets the water drain out through it to the interior. Clean out that hose as well as you can. Replace. This is an idiotic problem that Miele should have a permanent fix for. Grrrr.
The hose cleans out quickly, the problem is getting the front back on. 4 hands make it easier. It slips on when you start close to vertical, then slip in in and down. For putting the screws back in, you might have to use a micro screwdriver to re-align the little clips on the door panel. (You will see what I mean when you do it!) This costs a service call ($100, give or take) to call for service. It can be done at home with no added parts. I think it applies to all Miele dishwashers, and I have now done it several times. As I said before, this is a design fault and should not be necessary!
If you have a helper to help contain the mess, you can spray water into the fan area (best is backward through the hose, but try all directions) and catch the runoff. We have done this and it catches a lot of gunk.muck and slop.
Doggone design sucks on an otherwise nice machine!!
