MICROTEK C997SD MONITOR SHUTS OFF AFTER 5-10 MINUTES
If you turn your monitor on and when its on you go into your computers settings. Where you can fix your monitor and fix the resolution and all that. There should be a thing there where you can put never shut off. You have it on 5 to 10 minutes to shut off. That will keep the monitor from turning off again. I did this with mine it kept shutting off to. Thanks for posting I hope this helps you. I am sorry I couldn't be more detailed. i have been up all night lol.

Backup not supported microtek UPC
observe the wattage of the monitor . it may become overload by power supply . observe wattage of UPS . combine the monitor and CPUs wattage . if not matching , then take higher wattage UPS .if you want to start on battery back up , then first on the CPU and then switch on the monitor after 10sec.

hi,
is the power indicator light at the front of your TV lights up during power on?if not then you are correct that should be an open fuse on the power board. You have to open the back cover of the monitor. To identify the power board,It is where the power cord is connected there is a fuse on the power board replace it with the same rating fuse are labeled with current rating such as 5A 250 volts. After you had replace the fuse and blows again after you test on do not replace it again check first the diodes and the regulators on the power board they might got shorted during the power surge.here is a picture of a diode and a diode testing
The white ring on the diode represents the cathode the other side is the anode there should no reverse reading during the test.if you read on a reverse bias diode is shorted..replace it the informationof the diodeis printed on the body of it use it as reference of replacement..
Good luck and let me know.

I dont have a CD
This has the same chipset as a Microtek Eyestar U2s and works on Windows Xp.
(XP DETECTS THE CAMERA -
EXTRACT THIS FILE TO A FOLDER THEN USE CONTROL PANEL'S DEVICE MANAGER TO
'UPDATE DRIVER' AND POINT IT AT THAT FOLDER.)
If you are satisfied, please rate or/and leave a testimonial. Thanks!
I need driver for web-camera
I am sorry, but there is no windows xp driver for this model. You can try the compatibility mode in windows xp but I can't guarantee you that it will definitely work. If you wish to try, download the Windows 98 driver from
HERE and follow
THESE instructions to install. The instructions may be different but should be more or less similar. I hope you will be able to follow them. Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using

My Microtek 710S Monitor screen goes black if left
Check the power setting of your PC.
- If you are on windows;
- Click on start button
- If you have vista or windows 7, type "poweroptions" into the search bar.
If not, open control panel and find the power options inthere
- In "power options" you can change when the displaygets turned off and when your PC will go to sleep, just change these settingsto the time you want, e.g. 2hours
I can offer support for other OS if required
